2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
When I checked in (Sept. 4), I was told that the only king room was one with a roll-in shower. I had requested a tub shower combination when I made the reservation in MARCH. The clerk seemed very flustered and told me that was all she had and offered me a shower cap for my hair in the shower. After checking in, I immediately set-up my work laptop with docking station and portable monitor, thinking I could keep tabs on work while away. NOPE! The wi-fi in this hotel is terrible. I kept getting disconnected even on my tablet, and was not able to work as I had planned for the 3 days I was there. Three days with no internet is not fun. Both days, I left my room around 10 a.m. to give housekeeping a chance to refresh the room. I was gone both days until after 3 p.m. and I KNOW that the person working housekeeping saw me leave. Both days, nothing was done in my room by the time I returned. The second day, I asked if requesting service was required. The staff said no and offered me towels and trash removal. This trip has made me rethink staying at Fairfield Inns. I just booked a Holiday Inn for my next trip. Gail Jamrok
