Great place to stay if travelling around NZ. Good location if you want to do the tutukaka coast which we would highly recommend. Andy was a great host with plenty of local knowledge and recommendations and did an excellent breakfast

Wonderful stay.

Lovely property, very clean, very well kitted out, quirky decoration, fabric and furnishings. Food was fabulous. Special consideration taken with eco awareness in use of all products. Andy gave us lots of good advice, and also let us wash our car down!

Very nice room, large space, delicious cooked breakfast, very quiet country location although quite close to the SH1 so there was a bit of road noise but nothing excessive. Beautiful country setting and great views from the room I was in. Friendly host. Only criticism was the room smelt quite musty and it's a little way out from Whangarei town (5-10mins drive) but overall a nice place to stay.

The room was large and comfortably fitted out with bright retro furniture. Very clean and fitted out with a small well equipped kitchenette. Breakfast was plentiful with a cooked breakfast offered with fruit, cereal and toast. Andy was very helpful and obliging. It’s a very pretty property close to main interest points if you a car.

Generally as a sales rep you’re in there for minimal time but it’s time away from home and all that home offers. Andy and the lodge make that experience that much greater with a caring and professional attitude towards looking after their guests. Guttered I missed the breakfast but I’ll be back and better plan to enjoy the feast you’d no doubt put on team. Thank you for a great nights stay away from home.

The room was so tidy and stylish. breakfast was freshly made, so delicious! (you have a choice of 3 menu, it was like a cafe.) I would choose to stay here if i ever come back to the North. I highly recommend to stay here!!
