“ The hotel needs a complete refurb. The room allocated to us was of poor quality and standard. There was no wardrobe hanging space for ladies dresses and no drawers for storing other clothes. The plug was missing from the bath and the taps were dripping in the bathroom sink. The positive was that the staff were attentive and helpful and the food (breakfast) was excellent. We would not stay here again.”

“Good size rooms for family of 4. Good breakfast of full English or kippers. Great food from the pub below for dinner. Excellent all round. Note: If you are sensitive to noise, dont bother as you can hear the pub from downstairs. Otherwise it's good!”

We have stayed elsewhere in town on previous visits but this will be our go to in future. The central location with off street parking included is unbeatable. The instructions for the self service access are really clear and whilst we did have an issue with the code for the lockbox with the key room, we called and the concierge on the phone helped us instantly. The apartment itself was superb. We stayed in the 2 bedroom one called The Lodge. Both bedrooms were very large, with excellent ensuite bathrooms.
