The Briar Island Lodge is in a glorious setting (esp on a fine day!). The accommodations are comfortable and clean. Lovely views from dining room and a a B+ menu. Some might complain about the hot water supply, but what do you expect on a small remote island in peak tourist season? We were most impressed by the very friendly helpful people who work there! Would gladly recommend “The Lodge”!

Our room number 7, I don't know, but probably one of the older rooms, could do with a refurbish. Could hear noise from neighbours and all footsteps in the corridor. Take earplugs. There's not much accommodation on Brier island so was ok for a night as it was a pleasure to see the island. The restaurant has beautiful views and we enjoyed our meal.

We had an older room in the main building that didn't have a tv or air conditioning so make sure you read the description, these are not main staples in your room. Cobwebs in the room...could have been cleaner. Bathroom was stocked and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The view of the harbour was amazing from the Adirondack chairs on the lawn.

Loved staying here. Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. The room has everything you require for your stay - a microwave, a mini fridge, a kettle, a toaster. The most important was the view which is incredible. The property is on water and every room has a ocean view!

The lodge is situated in a beautiful spot with a wonderful view! The staff were kind, helpful and attentive and offered the opportunity to chat and learn more about the island and local culture. The food at the lodge was excellent- great options, quality and flavours. The hiking access to Seal Cove right off the resort was convenient and a great option to get out to the water for a view of the entertaining seals that like to gather on the rocks at low tide and a bonus view of many whales right from shore. The lodge common room was a great gathering spot for games as a family and time to connect. The slowed down, distilled and simple pleasures of this quiet gem of a spot provided a great getaway to a beautiful little Canadian island community. The local whale watching was a great experience as well.
