Good selection at breakfast with tables cleared quickly by attentive and friendly staff. Restaurant at night but meals can be ordered/served in the lounge/sports bar. A lot of work has been done to keep hotel up to date.”

“On site parking was terrible with broken furniture all over like a dumping ground. On the rare occasion the staff were on site, we had to walk through clouds of smoke where the male staff were sat outside. Cleanliness of the main hotel was below par. The room itself was ok, but I bought some cleaning materials, as did my companions in Other rooms. At one stage the water was completely cut off and the only way to report it was to phone a call centre in London to get it fixed. I am amazed this...

“The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We were sadly there as dad was in palliative care..We had flown in from canada, with broken leg, they let us check in early and were very kind. Room was great for accessibility but it did smell a bit musty/damp - but then had wet room so maybe that is why. ”

“Room was small to be an ensuite double room, but it was clean and had basics and toiletries, tv and free wifi. Free parking at the front door. The owner, Darren, was quite nice and helpful. He cooked a nice breakfast every morning, personalized a bit for my continental taste, and listened patiently to my daily adventures. I was on holiday and did tourism across Somerset from there. Good value for the price”
