The,Royal Oak is an old Hotel. So things need a little updating. However our room had everything posh hotels have. Beds very comfortable. Lovely white clean towels and bedding. Tea & coffee making facilities etc. We had pur evening meal in the their restaurant and it was very nice. The breakfast was all locally sourced and off a really good quality. The staff were very friendly and polite. We need to support our independent Hotels.

Nice budget hotel and for what you get it’s perfectly acceptable. Room hot but not their fault it was a nice day. I didn’t realise the road next to the hotel was that busy so quite a lot of lorries passing through the night. Good food.

Great hotel a staff are the real asset!

Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff! Room was cosy and warm with lots of lovely touches like books, board games and gorgeous toiletries. Situated right in the centre of town and car parking on site. Great value for a super stay and nice breakfast.

Very nice and helpful checkin and management people. Good secure off street parking. Room quiet, warm and nicely appointed. All in a really good bet for a 2 night business trip. Will go again.

Long weekend to visit Powis Castle

Lovely hotel in close proximity to Powis Castle. Comfortable room with everything you would need to make your stay a restful, peaceful experience. Wonderful cooked breakfast options, aswell as continental.

Excellent service and a very clean room. It was a blustery night and the window rattled, but the maintenance man was going to fix it. Breakfast was excellent and also our evening meal.

Good option for solo traveler travelling for work, Very good breakfast. Unfortunately arrived after restaurant closed (around 8.30pm) and no bar food but as in middle of town easy to find a take away . Late check out (11am) really helpful. Very good breakfast included.

Great Stay

All good. Its an old hotel with beams, so noneof the walls are flat or straight this adds to the charm and it is decorated well. They have sufficient friendly staff which is great. Breakfast very good too. Would go back.

I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Oak Welshpool. Rooms were lovely and clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice dining area to have lunch or evening meal. The breakfast I had included in the price was very tasty. Would deffinately visit again.
