First time in a hostel and it was a great experience. They allowed us to check in early since our flight was a morning one. Convenient to venue we went to and all the local eatery spots. I would’ve given it a 5 stars if they had ac in the room. For a small fee of $4 you can also store your luggage in a room till your flight. Definitely would recommend people stay there.

We recently stayed at Haka House for two nights to attend the World of Wearable Art Show in Wellington. We were able to catch the Airport Express Bus to the Courteney Place stop, then walk to Haka House. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and it is only a couple of blocks away from the waterfront, which is a perfect way to explore the city. It is also almost directly across the road from a large New World Supermarket for supplies.

Haka House Wellington - our whanau, 3 tamariki and mama have had the best stay. Our accommodation was perfect for us. Situated in a great location for our needs. Excellent proximity to CBD and good value hotel/hostel. Big kitchen / dining areas, reception people were helpful, lifts work well. Room was well prepared. Shared toilet / bathroom areas seemed to get messy during the day; despite being cleaned earlier on.

Great location + very walkable to all the sights.

I had a wonderful visit in Wellington. Haka House was easy to get to from the airport. And the surrounding area had a lot of food options. It is conveniently located to all the sights, made walking to them accessible without having to catch a bus or call an Uber. I love it that the staff were all very friendly. I had a great experience and have already recommended Haka House to a friend who plans to visit Auckland.

Great stay for family with young kids. Public transport to and from everything/everywhere 100m away. Harbour view from family room great with bonus of fire station across the street. 2 bunk beds for kids had curtains both sides for each bunk which gave kids their own "huts" and enabled grandparents to retire later in same room.

Thank you once again Haka House. We love staying with you. Always love the staff at reception- always friendly and helpful. The young gentleman even remembered my daughter graduated the day before and asked how it all went. It’s those small things that make you feel part of the place and not just a number. Quiet, Comfy beds- lovely rooms. We loved our room with the sea view so beautiful. Thanks again.

Great hostel in the centre of the city.

Quick electronic check in/out. Short walk to everything. Excellent kitchen facilities. I stayed in a private room (shared bathroom) which was a decent size and very comfortable. The bed, pillows and sheets felt high end. I would definitely stay again.
