With the Rydges being only walking distance from the stadium it was the perfect location for a staycation. The hotel was humming with rugby fans and the staff were warm, welcoming and attentive as it got busier. The pool was great for a quick swim.

I payed $91.80 for valet parking for 2 nights and I checked my bank account and noticed they charged me twice, so I don't know what the reason was so i asked them about it and they said it was a mistake and it will bounce back into my account but it's been 3 days and it's still pending, but our 2 nights stay was very good and we enjoyed the leisure facilities and the buffet breakfast. Room was great very clean nice view of the bay. 2 night stay first night had dinner in restaurant the steak was great was tempting to have again the next night, menu is a bit limited. Nice bar to have drinks. Good location easy walking to wharf area, cable car etc. would stay again.

Our flight was cancelled and rebooked and so we found Rydges a convenient short stay accommodation centrally located in Wellington. The pool and spa was great, however the spa temperature was a bit too hot for us.
