We live an hour plus from town so opted to stay at the airport the night before with our two pre-schoolers ahead of a 6am international flight. It worked perfectly and we'd absolutely stay again ahead of anouther early flight.

Staying right on/at the airport had many bonuses, but for the one night stay I appreciated the quiet room, great amenities, free movies and very comfortable bed. Restaurant dinner was also delicious.

The hotel is located in the airport. The buffet breakfast was sufficient with a variety of options. Other dining options could be limited if airport dining options are closed. Not a lot to do around the area. Our room was very comfortable with two queen beds and the shower was spacious with a recent renovation. Only downside was we could hear people going down the hallway for an early flight. The staff were friendly and personable, though I did think that they should have a few more staff at the desk instead of one person with a long line when a flights have been cancelled.

I stay here when I get the late flight to Wellington, staff hardly smile, maybe they are tired at 1.00am. Rooms are clean and comfortable; however, this stay it was very noisy on the hallways in the morning with people laughing and speaking very loudly so did not get. much rest. Perhaps there should be a sign saying be considerate of others and speak quietly
