The view was awesome. Don't miss the sunrise in the morning. Room was clean, shower was good. The Bistro's food was really good too. The location is just a few minutes from Watkins Glen State Park, so definitely don't miss the Gorge Trail (pretty easy hike in my opinion, wear shoes that you can get wet).

Beautiful resort not far from the lake. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only downside is that the onsite restaurant closes before 8pm and so we had to go to town for dinner. Breakfast is very good.

The bistro had amazing food and everyone at the resort/restaurant was very friendly. The fire was cozy and the people we met around the fire were great company. Beds and pillows were comfortable and shower had decent pressure with hot water. The only complaint I have is the walls are paper thin in the connected cabins and you could her everything. If we were to stay there on our next trip I would do a stand alone cabin. Location was great!

Room was nice and clean. Staff were super nice. A few things we were disappointed in was there was no access to the lake. With a name like Lakeside, you would think you could go all the way to the lake. And the only other thing is that when you take a shower, the water gets in the floor of the bathroom. There is no door or curtain to keep it in the shower tub. But overall it was a nice stay.

A Comfortable, Welcoming, and Pet-Friendly Getaway! Lakeside Resort and 3822 Bistro may not be a fancy or luxurious place to stay, but it makes up for that with a comfortable, inviting atmosphere, a great location, and beautiful lake views. Every employee we encountered was friendly, courteous, and very helpful, which made our stay even more⁹ enjoyable. We had dinner at the 3822 Bistro, and the food was good. Just be prepared to dive into your dinner, depending on what you order! The best part of this resort, though, is how incredibly pet-friendly it is. There is a $50 additional charge to have your pet stay with you, which we thought was reasonable. They also have Rocky, their super-friendly resident dog, who made our Cali girl’s stay even more special. The two of them had a wonderful time playing and running around together! All in all, this is a comfortable, welcoming place with a great location and a genuinely pet-friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again if we’re in the area. If you’re traveling with your four-legged family member, this place is definitely worth considering!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel boasts a phenomenal view of Seneca Lake. Sitting in front of the massive, lush lawn while taking in the lake view was such a relaxing and peaceful experience. I booked the Garden View King Room, which was spotless, fully equipped with everything we needed, and exceptionally quiet. A special shout-out to their breakfast—it was delicious and definitely worth trying! On a side note, I loved meeting Rocky, the hotel's resident dog. He is super cute and has a very cool personality! Highly recommended!

For this trip, we stayed in one of the lake-view cabins. They have a huge bedroom with a king bed, two lounging chairs, and a large screen TV. A separate living area with a full kitchen, dishes, silverware, wine, glasses, corkscrew, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, cooktop, two lounging chairs and a loveseat, a dining table and chairs for two and another large screen TV. Outside each of the Lakeview cabins is a little porch area with Adirondack chairs and a table, and your own parking area right at the door. This resort was planned extremely well. We have reservations again for next month, this time with our two dogs! We cannot wait!

We stayed for 3 nights to enjoy the surrounding area and hike. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque. We enjoyed the fire pit nightly and the lounge room. Having hot drinks available 24/7 was a plus. Unfortunately, our room (cabin 17) was likely the smallest and in need of updating. There was no room to move around or real seating space outside of the bed. There was no closet just hooks and the bathroom was in desperate need of an help. We ate at the bistro once and were so disappointed for all other meals we either ate off the property or brought food there. We were 6 people and not a single positive meal. I was a little embarrassed for them. I do hope they do something with that cabin, perhaps combining 17 & 18 to make a more comfortable space would be helpful as there is potential to be a great destination. The staff were all great and always friendly and the property’s dog, Rocky, was the best.
