We absolutely loved this hotel! Tasteful decor, comfortable bed, lovely "old hotel" ambience throughout. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice coffee and pastries in the library and located right along the fun and interesting downtown. There is a free parking lot just around the corner. We'd love to come back and will stay here again!

Historic property downtown. A lot of dining options all within four blocks. The staff was very friendly and informative. Gave some history on the hotel and also the surrounding area. They also provided a key fob to a gym just two blocks away. Breakfast was limited, but we don't normally rely on a hotel breakfast. The hotel bar had delightful craft cocktails! Overall the place is very well taken care of. We will stay again!

The Black Hawk Hotel is a favorite of mine. Beautiful rooms with modern bathrooms. And the location on Main Street places you in the midst of a great selection of restaurants and pubs. I will definitely be back when my travels take me back to Cedar Falls.

All the staff were great. Enjoyed upscale comfort in a one of a kind historic hotel. Max took the time to visit with us and give us a tour and Heather was helpful and cheerful every time we spoke. First rate place. Clean room. The in-room hot tub was clean and well-designed for a couple. Bar Winslow downstairs was a pleasant speakeasy kind of vibe with good cocktails and mocktails. We stayed on a Monday night. We will be returning.
