This was a great hotel for sightseeing! Stayed with my two sons and we loved it! Not a ton of family friendly amenities but if you want walkable… you got it!

I was the 2nd or 3rd person in line to register. The girl said the computer system wasn't working. When it was ok she took all the info and said she will call when a room is ready. Slowly the lobby filled up. After 2 hours I was the only one left. I went to the counter and she said she was just going to call me! I had asked for a lower floor if possible. She said sshe has Room 1112. I said I will take anything at that point. Not happy being left after everyone after me was taken care of. The room looked nice as I entered but then I saw a filthy stained carpet. Sink needed scrubbing. Just not really clean like I expected. They also do not have a shuttle to and from the airport. Room service, concierge and other staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant had limited choices but the food was good. To use the safe in the room you would need to be on hands and knees with a flashlight to read the directions. To use the mini bar I had to move the couch so the door would open wide enough. I would not stay there again.

Hello Arleen, I am so very sorry that your stay feel below expectations. Upon looking into your concern about the check in process, I was able to confirm that you were placed in our queue upon arrival (standard procedure) which places you in line according to the room type that you've reserved. As soon as your room type becomes available the agent will then be able to check you in. The time will vary when guest is checked in based on the room type availability at the time. On the day that you checked in the hotel was fully committed and there was not an option to change room types reserved. Therefore, was not an option to give "anything at that point" given the dynamics of our occupancy dilemma. A clean room is our promise to every guest and we most certainly want to be notified immediately in the case where our guest feel that this standard is not met so that we can take care of our guest. Unfortunately, you will not find a hotel in Washington, DC that offers shuttle service. On another note, we are glad to know that you found the staff to be very nice and helpful and the restaurant food good. We sincerely thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us. The metro is a block away and everything else is in walking distance. My second stay here. Nice bar and bartender!

The property has a great bar downstairs for a place to grab a drink after a long day, but the room itself was unsatisfactory as our park view was completely taken away by the outside balcony. We asked to change our rooms which they were happy to help, but the second room had a pretty bad musty smell. We ended up taking our original room and biting the bullet.

The property is older than i thought. Location-wise is good. One thing to complain about is that they listed "classic king" room size as 321 sq ft but it's definitely not over 300 sq ft. I would say it's more like 250 sq ft. I think they should update the info. One main reason i booked this hotel and room is because the room is big so I was kinda disappointed.

The location was very close to the White House and to the Metro. Very close to restaurants, park, shops and banks. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
