Stay overall was great. Build up using Hotel Bird app was a terrible experience and would put me off booking again. Took me days to get myself registered to use the app with assistance from their customer service, and then when I did they could not find my booking, so I had to contact the hotel directly for a second booking number. Then after all that when I finally had the booking on my app, there were two staff members on reception who checked me in anyway, making the entire process a waste of time. Once we were there though the stay was brilliant, breakfast the best we had throughout our stay and the staff member running it lovely even though we didn’t speak any German, lovely room. There was a stain on one of the duvets, we didn’t raise it as an issue it looked like a stain from a dry cleaners and was only on the bottom of one duvet, so not a problem but could have been checked and changed.

I visited for a few nights, Christmas and Boxing Day. The hotel was not busy. Breakfast is very well organized with a variety of choices. There's an espresso machine in the hotel room and there's a refrigerator containing five complimentary drinks. There's also a kettle to make tea. The bathroom is very nice. The bed, pillows and duvet were very comfortable. I used Villa Bosco in Walldorf as a base for exploring Heidelberg. Worked out wonderfully. The automated entry system using the Hotelbird app worked out well too. Michael R Pittsburgh PA USA

Check in did not go well because it was required to do in advence but i only received an email in German, which i don't speak. So it took longer but the staff was veru friendly and helpful and the room was great. No A/C but a fan is available and the bathroom is clean and very pretty. Nice place to close to evething also and safe parking.

(kostenlos!)
