Way better than I expected. This is not a brand I seek out, but on Labor Day weekend our choices were limited. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, and we both got a great night's sleep.

Lots of activity in and around the motel but still felt safe. Mostly just other travelers. Gas station next door was convenient for grabbing water and snacks. Plenty of parking. Pool was maintained. Kids loved the complementary snacks in the lobby.

The staff was amazing and friendly. We were surprised with fresh baked cookies, popcorn or candy when we checked in and with grab and go breakfast/snack/drink items when we checked out. The staff made excellent recommendations for dinner as well.

The property is close to the national park. I appreciated that the mattress was comfortable. However, the items that are offered as the free breakfast are not in the least bit appetizing or healthy, and for the price paid for a room in an old hotel they should really offer more. The floors in the room were so dirty that I would never want to walk on them barefoot or with my clean socks. I have stayed here before due to the location to the park, but I will not stay here again. I see nicer options for about the same price.

The hotel is in a great spot 5 minutes from badlands and wall drug. It’s also not a bad drive to Mount Rushmore, black hills , Custer state park or crazy horse. The staff was very nice. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small but served its purpose. We had a great stay here!! My only complaints are the bath tub facet was hard to turn on ( I had to call the front desk and get directions ) and we were on the second floor the steps were fine but the actual balcony railing was wobbly.

This was the perfect lodging to stay on our road trip. Both staff members very kind, there was popcorn available when we checked in. Rooms were clean and had no smell unlike some motels. Good water pressure in the shower. Close to the Badlands. Ask for a room on the lower floor if you have extra luggage. There is no elevator.
