“From the staff, to the gorgeous rooms, the bar and restaurant areas, it was nigh on perfect. The air con unit occasionally got a bit noisy, but it was still a fabulous stay. We were there for one night, so I do wonder whether a longer stay might have made that part a little more frustrating over time. Otherwise, we loved it!”

“Met with a friendly welcome and shown to our room. Whilst we had our own bathroom it was down the corridor from our room. Not a problem at all but unexpected. Food served in the pub is excellent and has a nice beer garden. The pub was very busy when we arrived and had to park a bit down the road but I moved the car into the main car park later in the day. Continental breakfast is available and just help yourself, this suited us. Nice pub and room. Would recommend.”

“Lovely history and nice to see our heritage being used in the 21st century. The building could do with some serious restoration though. Not just a lick of paint. A complete rethink of the room layout. Our room, unfortunately, was right by the air conditioning system and it hummed all night. Ear plugs did the trick! Would appreciate a hand shower as well as the fixed overhead as I don't always want to wash my hair every time I shower. Most hotels have both. No chef, so only breakfast available....
