We were there to fish on Leech Lake and our cabin was right on the water with a gorgeous view that changed by the moment. The staff was amazing. We loved the pool and the beach area. It was a great place for our family. Will stay again!

The staff were so friendly and helpful! Beautiful place to stay right on Leech Lake. We even were able to rent a pontoon right from the resort. If I’m ever that far north again I would definitely stay there!

The smell of pot smoke coming into our room on Friday night was horrible and gave us both headaches. It wasn’t as bad Saturday night but would be nice to have smoking further away from the building. The room was large but needs some updates. Carpet seems very dirty, shower and sink faucets both leak, the TV is tiny. The food in the bar is excellent as well as the entertainment.

The positive: They mow the lawns and have irrigation to keep the landscape looking good. Yes, that is the only positive. The negatives: The room smelled like musty wet carpet. The carpet was so disgusting it made you want to keep your shoes on. If you lock your key in the room you better do it during office hours, or you will sleeping in your truck for the night. No emergency # on the door. I wanted to check out before 8am, apparently you can’t. No key drop, or other way to checkout before a human arrives. On site restaurant: I had the smothered chicken, one breast was ok, the other tasted like I was chewing on a raw breast, it was impossible to chew it was so rubbery. The bartender eventually asked how everything was, after I was sitting there finished for 10 minutes (I sat at the bar). I told him about the breast and he stated “really, it’s usually one of the best on the menu” ,rung up my ticket and handed it to me. The actual server who took my order apparently dislikes his job, had no personality and never came back to see how the meal was. Onto the worse of the worse, the boat ramp, if you want to call it that, was without exaggeration at a 45 degree angle once your trailer hit the water. I was told they just fixed it!! Never have I experienced this, nor would I have used it if they would have let me know prior to backing in. I seriously think it tweaked my trailer. There is so much more and more details that could be provided, but only 1500 characters are allowed.

Rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable, everything you need. Restaurant has tasty food and friendly staff, an early breakfast option would be nice for those people who want a bite before going to work on the fish bite. Boat launch is usable but needs some work especially for loading boats.

Room was very dated, TV was the size of our very first computer monitor in the 1990's. The pool looked as if it had never been cleaned in years, the lake was probably cleaner and the hot tub was full of rust, at first I thought it was terracotta tile, it was supposed to be light blue/green.

The property was beautiful outside. Fall is a great time to go to Walker. When we checked in the receptionist, she was nice and bubbly. However, when we went to the restaurant/bar for dinner, it was closed. Nothing was mentioned when we booked it. That was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay there. There was another party wanting to know when breakfast is served and they laughed and said no breakfast. It is 10 miles or so into town. The rooms were nice and large. Called and Asked for More cups and coffee in the morning and said they would bring us some. Never did.

We really liked the setting and the accommodations. The grounds and rooms were very nice. There really were no staff around-the restaurant was closed due to no cook. Office was not open during office hours posted. We had everything we needed but it would have been nice to have staff available and the restaurant open.

Leech Lake Fishing

Horseshoe Lodge and surrounding area were beautiful with very friendly staff and harbor crew. Was a shame that the town of Walker had yet to awaken from the winter break.

Nice, spacious hotel room overlooking the lake; fireplace was a nice touch. Food in restaurant was good but coffee was luke warm at best even after asking for a different cup. Wait staff were difficult to understand due to foreign accents. Overall a pleasant trip and the resort is lovely.
