Posadas en Walcot

“Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent.”

“It was an ok visit but we wouldn't go back - just wasn't an inviting experience - and no dinner served on Monday meant we had to go out”

“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

“A wonderful hotel, everything was super nice, the room, (given a upgrade), the food outstanding, and the friendliest you could have ever meet. Definitely will book when next in the area.”

“The Lion Hotel is a historyful place, very confortable and with a very responsive staff. ”

“I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”

“Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊”

“Lovely welcome from the team on arrival. The room on the top floor was great, comfy bed, good sized room, fridge with fresh milk provided. Really tasty breakfast, available until 12pm which was a nice touch. Friendly place, nice bar and outside area”

“Door was already unlocked when we arrived 28th Oct even though key was in secure unit which seemed a bit strange considering the place is shut on a Wednesday. Main light didn't work only table lamp.”

“Loved our stay here. Very quiet room, clean and cosy. Fabulous staff, especially Shannon. Good food too. Highly recommend.”

“Scenic riverside location. Pleasant and spacious room.”

“Very good in general. Very clean and comfortable.”

“Clean and great location, good value for money.”

“The breakfast was really good as were the evening menu choices. In the room, the guide understated the amenities. It was modest about the WIFI capabilities which I thought were actually very good. Similarly, there was a reference to decaffeinated coffee being available for the room on request but it was actually already there.”

“Really enjoyed our stay and the Staff were excellent, as was the food. Few little tweaks, some bedroom furniture such as a drawer unit and extra plug or two. Couldnt put the table lamp on without going under the table to unplug television or kettle. Overall really pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again next year. Partner missed her marmalade at breakfast not a disaster!”
