Extremely accommodating and friendly staff. They went out of their way to help me with a difficult late night check in. I work in entertainment and we cannot check in at normal times due to setup and showtimes. Thanks again for taking care of us!

The best thing about Lakeside is the location. It's next to Chapman Park/Lake Wagner. This is great for morning or evening walks. The worst thing about this property is the very iffy housekeeping service. If you are staying for more than one night, beware! You may or may not get any housekeeping service and you will need it daily as they only give you the bare minimum on towels and other items.

Enjoyable!!

We had a nice two night stay here! The room was clean, water pressure in the shower wonderful, beds are very comfy, there is a coffee maker and a small microwave and a mini fridge in each room although not shown online as such, and the rooms are non-smoking so another plus! The a/c worked well and we appreciated that! Continental breakfast is nice to start the morning and the staff is friendly and helpful!!! It's not the ritz but we wanted clean and comfortable not glitz glam fancy name so we were very happy with our stay at Wagner Lakeside Motel!! We'll stay here again!

Basic accommodations. Owner (abt. 2 yrs) is slowly improving property. Very clean. Limited breakfast items - mainly cereal & toast, milk & juice. If staying for multiple nights, do not expect them to make up the beds.

Mattress was disgusting with stains, the toilet didn’t work half the time and the staff was weird. they kept asking me if i was checking out the day before i was, and even was persistent one time that i was supposed to be out. Also, the 10AM checkout is ridiculous.

The toilet seat was broken and pinched. There was a1" gap around the heater that you could look outside. I had to put a pillow to block the wind coming in. No attempts were made to fix when reported.

As soon as we walked in the room it smelled like dog. And after looking around one lamp was hanging off the wall without a light bulb. No microwave or a chair in the room. The drawer for the nightstand was missing . There was ashes on the floor. And the sheets and blanket were stained.

The staff are very rude! We asked for our room to be cleaned cause would be out for the day, they didn’t do a thing. When we asked to exchange our towels they made a big deal about it. You can tell they never clean clean the rooms. You can tell they don’t pay attention to the rooms cause one of the pictures on the walls hung upside down and the dust on it was so thick. I will never stay at this hotel again.

We arrived very late close to midnight but the front desk gentleman was very kind and said he's been expecting us and had everything ready to go. He just handed me the key card and wished me a good night. However, it was 9:00AM and my wife and I were still in a very long but important conversation and the lady doing house cleaning had already knocked on our door wanting to come clean our room. Our conversation was interrupted and we quickly gathered our things and left. It's just one of those times my wife and I finally had time to spend with each other away from the kids and had a meaningful deep conversation because our minds were clear in the morning.

First room has no hot water, smoke detector was in the dresser drawer. Complained and was given a different room. Second room the bathroom floor was sticky, dresser had something spilled on it. ( went to dollar store bought cleaner) to clean and sanitize the room. Coffee maker had old used filter in it and water in the reservoir. Refrigerator did not work.

It is decent, considering the location. Grateful to have a place to stay. Very glad there are new owners. These owners are nice & friendly. And honest. I had boycotted this hotel for years due to a previous manager trying to charge me for staying there when I hadn’t been able to book a room. I have stayed at this hotel 2 or 3 times since new ownership & haven’t had any issues being charged incorrectly. I understand the owners have tried to make improvements & it takes time & money. Everything has been clean, except this time one of the blankets appeared to be stained. Hoping it was just stained & not dirty. We didn’t use it, but made us question cleanliness of all the bedding.

They advertised no-smoking rooms. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke even the rooms I woke in the morning with a headache. And my sinuses are still stuffed. The toilet plugged at 10:00 at night and the office was unavailable to even contact for a plunger.

Don't think i will be staying there ever again

The outside of the building was very nice, but the inside needed updates. The out side door don't has a opening so cold in the room. The inside of the hotel need vacuumed all over and it had a very bad small in the hotel.
