Very convenient location, couldn’t be closer to the park. The check in process went well. But there were multiple small annoyances: the room was musty, the carpet was old and looked dirty, there were ants in the bathroom, and the fridge was so loud I couldn’t use it at night, which defeats the purpose. Overall an okay experience.

This is as it is billed, a simple, clean place to spend the night. The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator but no thermostats so you adjust temperature with opening window or plugging in space heater. I would stay here again. I have never seen such clean windows!!

Quiet Stay Close to the National Park

Check in was extremely easy to navigate. No host on site and the hotel is fairly isolated but it made for a quiet stay. Very close to Volcano National Park.

Lolahi Lodge exceeded my expectations in every way! Great rooms, comfortable bed, really nice towels, lots of little touches. I highly recommend this as a place to stay while visiting Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. So close to the entrance. And a wonderful place to end up after a long day of hiking!
