The cabin style room is spacious and feel very comfortable. It's located within a quiet and greeny village close to the volcano NP. The staff works there are very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

Nice rustic place. We normally stay in 4 and 5 * hotels and this was not that but it was a cool little spot for what the town is. It’s remote with not a lot of choices. The room was clean and if we can’t get a room in the park again when we’re there next, we will try to stay here again.

room was in good condition. It was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a little tight. we appreciate the water and warning about not using the water for drinking since it was not potable. The lady at check-in at the Tru-Value was very helpful. The remoteness of the property was concening at first but we walked around the surrounding area and that made us feel better about the property location.

The location is perfect for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Aside from the restaurants at the Volcano House in the park, there are good nearby food options in the village. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful. The room (a suite, actually) was clean and comfortable, with TV and wi-fi, in woodsy garden surroundings that featured a family of pheasants. The shower stall was tiny, which could be an issue for very large guests.

Very nice cabin for family. The treat basket was delicious with papaya, bananas, and danish. The 2 gallons of water were good for consumption. Catchment water was good for bathing and dish washing. Staff personnel are low stress with an easy process. We'll be back.

Peaceful, comfortable suites in montane forest

Very quiet setting. We stayed in the Wolfie Suites, which were very clean and had a nice sitting room in addition to the bedroom. Very comfortable beds. There are no staff on the premises and you have to check in at a store which is a few minutes drive away. They prefer to know in advance exactly what time you expect to arrive for check in. Location only a mile from the park entrance was great.

Great clean quaint lodge. Beautiful outlook in very quiet area. Special touch of fruit and goodies for breakfast and a huge bottle of water daily as water is not potable in the Volcano region. I really enjoyed my stay. The check in location was hard to find and located inside a convenience store, but they had very clear email instructions and it was on me for not reading carefully. Every staff I encountered was super welcoming, and complimentary snacks and fruits were provided. The area is a 5 min drive to Volcano national park, and there’s a Thai restaurant within walking distance. I have nothing to complain.

Great location for accessing Volcano National Park and related attractions. Room was quiet/secluded. Check-in ends at 5:30pm so we had to make alternative arrangements to get room access. It was fine. However, nowhere in the booking is it mentioned that water is non-potable. Maybe that's common in the area but it seems like an important detail. Bathroom needs some maintenance.
