No frills bed and breakfast. This is the type of place that you book for serenity and for the quiet atmosphere which was perfect for our trip. It is worth noting that you need to make arrangements to get your access code ahead of time if you think you will have delays in your travel. However this process was easy to do. The property is close to volcano national park and also has an enjoyable rainforest environment as well.

Lovely grounds.plenty continental breakfast left in refrigerator so you can eat early. Room size fine. Could use slightly more comfortable chairs for collapsing after park. Also room for longer breakfast and end tables. All those electronics and planning maps/books/glasses have to rest somewhere...plenty resturants arround

Room is comfortable and efficient. A yummy Breakfast is left in fridge the day before, which makes for a seamless start to your day. The hosts have provided everything that you might need for your Volcanos Natl Park visit. The park and the little town of Volcano are very close by. What a cute place! We had a wonderful stay at Hale 'Ohu Bed & Breakfast to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The place was clean & comfortable, the breakfast was nice, and the owners were helpful with area recommendations. We will definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to make another trip to this beautiful state.
