The area in Vio is challenging. The staff was polite and professional. The booking did not show up and the rate paid for was not what expected. From the site it appeared to be a nice place and probably it was 20 years ago. The bug netting in room was not in good shape. AC was a fan and had to share bathroom. The location appeared to be ideal however it was really in town. Was advised not walk at night. Place is run down needs updating and maintenance updates. I strongly believe if the owners would invest the place would be fine place to stay. There are many other locations to choose.

I was a little wary about being in a tent but the space and comfort were incredible. The staff were really working and the pizza the chef made me as a vegetarian was incredible. Awesome WIFi, best in Kenya so far. I'd return tomorrow!

The property is very near the park and well staffed with eager to please people who go out of their way to make you comfortable. The pool is a welcome feature to use after a hot and dusty game drive. We had good food here. The rooms however just need some basic maintenance to eg leaking plumbing etc. Overall this place is good value for what it charges and it deserves more visitors.

Stop off to th coAst

A stop off from Nairobi to the coast . Lovely pool and tents were nice with comfy beds . It was just the wait for food which was ridiculous . We ordered lunch and it took an hour to arrive . The fish we ordered was also not cooked and was mushy and slippery inside . The chef told us that’s how it’s cooked . For dinner (because we couldn’t be bothered to go anywhere else ) but we stuck to sausage and chips which took an hour and half to arrive . The owner was there and at no point stepped in to apologize or anything . We would recommend to stay but find somewhere else for food .

Pleasant stay at the tent

Voi city seemed such a nice city between the mountains. We would have liked to see it more. The Hotel is near to the new fancy Voi Train Station and very near to the Tsavo East National Park, so it is very easy access which is nice. The hotel was quiet, so it was very good for relaxing. Hotels manager Tom and staff member Alfred are so friendly and helpful! They really made our stay at the hotel. We slept at the tent which was a fun experience! The tent is surprisingly big with two beds and own bathroom. If have to say some fixing suggestions it would be shower in poor shape and some spiderweb at the ceiling. But we paid very reasonable price for the nights, so maybe you could say that you get what you pay for. Impala Safari Lodge is a very good choice to stay between the safari days due to its price, location and customer service.
