It is a very nice place to stay. Beds are very comfortable. Room are neat and clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. Several places to visit and restaurants within walking distance... and just a few steps away from the ocean.

First, the property is in a great location. Close to the ocean front and lots of places to each. We had a kitchenette room - located on the 3rd floor. It was a walk-up. There were issues with the lock but we sorted it out. The kitchenette had no cutlery, no glasses, no dishes. No paper towels. No kettle - making tea in a coffee maker tastes badly. The air conditioner was very noisey. There were no drawers, not enough coat hangers. I had to ask for a second set of sheets and a pillow for the pull-out sofa. No hairdryer or iron/ironing board. And the shower curtain needs to be replaced. The water stains were highly visible.

This was our 4th year staying here and will stay again. Went with a room with a kitchen & table this time and it was well worth it. Not fancy, but a more important for us is very clean with tile floors. Family owned and all their staff are friendly.

I called 4 times prior to my trip to check in something and never got an answer or a return call to my messages. When I arrived, during office hours, no one was there, again I called to get no answer. Luckily,they came into the office as I was about to walk around the property to look for someone. They were showing someone their room. On our second day our beds were made and fresh towels left but the garbage wasn’t taken out and it was full. Again when I went to check out no one was there! Again I called and actually got can answer. I told them I needed to check out and was told just to drop my parking pass and key in the drop box. This would have been nice to know at check in. The location is great with everything near by, restaurants, store, shops and the beach with a block. There is a lot of noise as we were road facing-Pacific Ave which is busy-not the motel’s fault, just giving information for light sleepers. Read carefully the amenities, not much offered except a place to sleep close to the beach. It was clean.

Our stay for the long weekend at the Ocean Cove was perfect. The owner Steve walked us to our room on arrival to make sure we were happy with the accommodations. He also recommended local restaurants that were perfect. Having free on-site parking all weekend was clutch. The room was perfect, clean, kitchenette let us have breakfast in the room before walking just one block for Boardwalk access and the beach. The reservation reminds you, bring your own cooking and eating utensils, but the have the stove, over, coffeemaker, fridge and freezer! Thanks for a great stay we will be back for sure!

This is a gem in the downtown area of Virginia Beach. I could not have felt more welcomed or taken care of. I wish I could have stayed longer! And the oysters Rockefeller at C D Shuckers, a block and a half walk nearby, were fantastic, along with the fun crowd! I hope to return soon.
