Vacations Close To Villa Roma Antiquarium

Roof top pool and restaurant were a terrific surprise! The food and drinks above expectations. The spa was also great and even can get a mani/pedi!

My husband and I both found the staff to be generally unfriendly during our 5 night stay here. They were not very kind or helpful when we needed to ask a question or favour. An important thing to note is that you cannot enjoy your own beverages nor food when spending the entire day by the pool/beach. They charge a fortune for just a soda (7€) and small beer (12€). We only ordered drinks once, as prices were steep. We felt we had to go to our room often to enjoy food/drinks and comeback to swim and relax in between. Luckily, we chose a room with a balcony (note, that most balconies at this hotel are very quaint). The hotel itself is quite outdated and the rooms very much so. Our shower did not work properly and had mould. The jets in our jacuzzi tub in our room also did not work. The mini fridge was not all that cold. The bed was the stiffest most uncomfortable bed we ever slept in. On a positive note, breakfast was amazing every morning! The views and sunsets are impeccable! The pool was relaxing. Music was often boring however. Beach is nice, but prepare for lots of rocks when entering. Shuttle to/from Sorrento was nice to have (could use a few more hours though in the afternoon). Prepare for decent amount of walking to get to restaurants and shops in the Meta area. Catching a city bus was not very easy with luggage (lots of stairs to go down). Staff was very misleading in this. Not sure we would ever god back, due to it being so outdated and poor management/unfriendly.
