Top notch hotel right near the State Opera House. Huge room with nice appointments and very clean and quiet. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Would be my only choice when I return.

Although the location and service were good, the room itself was poorly designed. The bathroom door does not close completely (the towel warmer is in the way), leaving an opening of about a foot, and the door and entire separator wall is made of glass so there is no privacy, sound, or light separation. The toilet does have its own room inside the bathroom but, without its own light switch, a late night trip to the bathroom will fully illuminate the bed which is right outside--thus waking up your partner. All of the glass and especially the sliding door just makes everything louder which will also wake them up if the light didn't. Bizarrely, there is what appears to be a motion sensor pointed at your crotch in the toilet room for some reason (but not for lighting or flushing). Our toilet was randomly flushing itself every 5-10 minutes with or without a person in there. The light switches in the room are very strange and do not control every light. For instance, there was a floor lamp that could only be turned off by unplugging it from the wall. The TV is practically useless unless you know what channel you want to watch already. There are no channel up/down buttons and even the guide doesn't allow you to scroll through it. These problems may not apply to every room because the rooms are not all the same size/configuration so you may have a different experience.

We are happy that you have enjoyed our central location and the service provided by our wonderful team, but it is indeed a bit sad to hear that your overall stay did not live up to your expectations! In this case, we would have really liked an on-site dialogue as we could certainly have clarified some points! We have checked the bathroom door and it is definitely not working properly, as well as the toilet. We are very sorry about these inconviences! Of course, we immediately commissioned professionals to repair it. We provide a night light in the toilet, so that you do not have to light up the entire bathroom. The TV is working properly, also to switch channels. You have to press the arrow up or down to change the channels. The channel list is provided in the information map on the couch table. The floor lamp has a button on the cable on the floor to switch it off. We would have been very pleased to explain all these things to you on site!With kindest regards from Vienna, your Guesthouse Team

A reservation means little here
Posted Oct 30, 2023 on HotelsThe check in experience was the worst of any of the six hotels we checked in on this trip. Hotel not prepared. Rooms not ready till 4 rven after initial promise of rooms ready by 3. Fromt end staff and managemente did not take responsibulit and maybe help cleaning staff in getting rooms ready. Excuses were lame for rooks not ready and guests arriving later got rooms earlier.

This should not happen, but unfortunately did - and is definitely our fault. But as an excuse gesture from our side the other guests from your groupe were invited for coffee and cake and were fine with it. The accusation that guests who arrived later were able to check in before them is not true. For all your group you have booked the Superior category. The later arrival had a room in the deluxe category. We are very sorry that we could not live up to your expectations! With kindest regards from Vienna!
