What a wonderful place! First, the neighborhood is fantastic, especially if you are tired of the crush of tourists in the Imperial center. Actual Weiner live here, amid loads of restaurants, cafes, and galleries (and places to shop for stuff you actually need). The hotel itself is amazing. I was upgraded to the Library Suite, yes it has a library, and it’s gorgeous. Breakfast had a lot of choices from the buffet and more from the kitchen. It took me a day to figure out how not to get lost (the hotel is a couple very old buildings, beautifully updated but hallways are twisty). This hotel made me love Vienna. I’ll be back!

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay in this beautiful hotel which aims to be, and certainly provides, a home from home. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was superb - we really enjoyed the special daily shot and hot choice - and afternoon tea delicious. Our room was beautifully styled, the bed was comfortable and the bath a bonus. Finally the location was great for exploring the city by foot or using the very efficient and affordable public transport system. We would love to return to this hotel one day and look forward to discovering another of the very individual rooms.

Enjoyed the location close to the Museum Quarter. We parked our car in the MQ garage about a 15 minute walk from hotel. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Ringstrasse. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delightful. Room is small and sink was in the room instead of bathroom. Street noise is loud so had to keep windows closed at night.

The staff at Alstadt is incredible. Service is friendly, prompt and anticipitory. They offer a complimentary breakfast and absoloutely lovely Afternoon Tea complete with pianist. There is wonderful art installed throughout the property and a rooftop terrace for relaxation outdoors. A nice amenity in a city hotel. The hotel is quiet and the housekeeping staff remembers what guests like (extra coffee for the in-room Nespresso) and provide same. Would stay again without hesitation.
