Fantastic location, outstanding view over Sorrento from all rooms. Balcony, clean room. Friendly and welcoming staff. Pool was amazing with the great view. Of course breakfast could give a little bit more but for the price this was an overall great experience

STOP turning of the aircon

They turn of the aircon so many times even in the night, i presume to safe money. Anoying in a extreme way. No restaurant at the hotel but nearby. Breakfast realy bad but italien breakfast usely is. Wievs amazing

The view was great. But the air conditioning was not working in the room so I couldn’t sleep. Also in the morning the guy at the desk was demanding I pay the tourist tax in cash and I didn’t have any cash and he got very angry until I started walking out when he finally said ok credit card will work but nowhere on the reservation did it say the tourist tax must be paid in cash

Our experience at Hotel Mega Mare was far from enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes, which made it uncomfortable to relax. Most of the staff were rude and unaccommodating throughout our stay. Every morning, we were called and woken up so they could clean the room — not exactly the hospitality you’d expect on vacation. On one occasion, because we didn’t leave early enough, we were told at 14:15 that cleaning services were finished for the day and our room would not be cleaned at all after receiving 2 prior calls to leave. Late one night, while talking in normal voices, we were told the next day that we needed to keep our voices down at night — even though we weren’t being loud. On top of that, around 2:00 a.m., someone was calling and knocking on our door, but we didn’t answer because we were alone and there was no peephole to see who it was. It was unsettling and made us feel unsafe. The on-site food options were extremely limited, and to make matters worse, you’re not allowed to bring in outside food or eat in your room, which was very inconvenient. Also, if you plan to stay here, make sure you rent a car. The location is quite isolated, and a cab into Sorrento costs about €50 one way. Overall, between the rude service, strange rules, lack of flexibility, safety concerns, and poor location, I would not recommend staying at Hotel Mega Mare.

I booked this place outside Sorrento for the view and it did nont disappoint . I could sit on that balcony for a long time looking over the bay and Sorrento. Stunning!

The hotel has an AMAZING and beautiful view of the coast, staff is very friendly and helpful, the pool is incredibly clean. The breakfast is limited and rooms are small but comfortable. All rooms have a balcony with ocean view so you can’t go wrong. Very quiet and parking is available above the property if you drive.

The views are unforgettable here at Mega Mare. Our stay was the first of many to come. The staff made us feel like we were home and attended to all of our needs. This place allowed us to embrace the true Italian essence. Even in rainy weather, we were able to enjoy Italy while staying here! Thanks for a wonderful experience. Cheers!

We had Room 308, juste next to the breakfast Room and under the reception hall. So a lot of noise not able to sleep before midnight. Also, loud music from the beach club.

Hotel was well kept and staff were helpful and friendly. Pool area was great and the hotel has a decent selection of food for breakfast. Only downsides are that it only offers breakfast and walking anywhere from the property can be a hassle as it’s quite isolated on the hillside. The road is also busy and quite dangerous to walk along. The views you get from the location are amazing though and if you have a car or are willing to taxi back and forth, there are quite a few restaurants and shops within a few kilometres.

Wonderful hotel in regards to cleanliness, staff. Spectacular views but this location doesn’t work unless you have a car. 25 minutes walking on a narrow, curvy road. Breakfast is great and included. We stayed in April so is a low season for this area. I wish they would offer a bar and at least some antipasto since there are no restaurants near by. Other than that is a wonderful place. Managment helpful and cordial.

the hotel is very dated in its decor, but adequate. The swimming pool is in a lovely spot although people seemed to gather the sun umbrellas all in one spot leaving the rest of us without any shade. Breakfast and snacks were the only meals. the waitress Angela worked constantly and always smiling, Thankyou. Could be noisy at night with guests talking quite loudly. But its in a beautiful location and I would stay there again.

If you are planning to stay at this Hotel make sure you have transportation. They don’t provide help for you to move around, next town about 2 miles, something to eat about 1.5 miles through a very busy and dark road that don’t have sidewalk or lights. The Hotel said no available taxis because of traffic. Terrible

Disappointed!

Pros: amazing views, great breakfast staff, clean rooms, free parking. Cons: pool closed, common areas closed ( except small lobby), restaurant closed ( except for continent breakfast). Nearest place to eat 20 minutes by car in Sorrento. Summary: Desk staff informed us restaurant was closed and admonished us for bringing food back for dinner and sitting outside to eat, because they opened the restaurant that day and had two items on the menu, a sandwich panini and a hot dog. They told us to go eat in our room. Afterward, Mariano, manager was somewhat apologetic and gave us a wine bottle as we left the hotel after a five day stay.

DO NOT stay here if you don’t have a car or vespa. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Taxis do not want to take you there. The owner is a communist. You have to leave the room key before leaving. That’s ridiculous. They turned off the AC when you are not there and sometimes they forget to turn it back on when you come back. As a consequence the room is a sauna when you enter. Overall this has been my worst experience ever.

pros: - incredible view - over all clean hotel - pool was nice (opens at 11.15am and closes 7pm…) cons: - IF YOU DONT HAVE A CAR DON’T GO (5km to sorrento by taxi costs 60-80€, there is no restaurants closer than 2km away and to get there you have to walk next to a road where the cars drive 100 km/h and it’s very dangerous especially by night-time) - There is no food or mini-market available in the hotel and it is forbidden to buy own food and bewerages to the hotelroom…. - The breakfast is awful! Only some dry bread, salami, cheese and coffee. Not any fruits or vegetables. - Hotel manager is very rude and doesn’t care about the customers, he smokes cigarettes inside and the smell is everywhere - No private beach, nearest beach is 2km walk away - Hotelroom bed and pillow is hard and my back hurts after one week sleeping there - Airconditioner of the room turns off every morning at 8 am and turns back on about 12am and between that there is very hot in the room
