“It is a lovely setting and the rooms are excellent. Breakfast was great and it was a beautiful start to the day to be sat with a great breakfast in our window looking over the gardens. Point for Expedia bookers: Two points to flag that weren’t obvious to me on Expedia when I booked. I chose this because it had a pool, and my disgusted love staying where there is a pool - but the pool costs €22 per adult to use in pre booked slots only, and children aren’t welcome in the pool. I understand now...

“Llegamos a las 23:00h. Al día siguiente, quisimos pagar en efectivo, como ya habíamos dicho en internet y NO nos dejaron porque nos lo habían cobrado ya por la tarjeta el día anterior. Es la primera vez que nos pasa. No quisieron para nada hablar del tema.”

“The staff were not friendly at all somehow rude and unwelcoming. They never smile and even seem very reluctant to greet you. To be honest, this is not really a hotel, so don’t expect hotel-level service. They don’t properly clean the rooms. The “room service” basically means putting a new toilet roll in the bathroom they don’t even change the towels. The breakfast is exactly the same every day, with very little variety. But the most irritating part of the whole experience was the reception...

“2 nuits, pas de clim et un tout petit ventilateur. Odeur de remontée de canalisation dans la salle de bain, mais acceptable. Surtout pas de petit déjeuné. Juste café thé Nutella et brioche. Autant dire ne comptez pas sur le petit déj.”
