I'd like to share my superb experience to everyone who visit Berat castle and nearby. The Pupa winery guesthouse offer winery visit and tasting, you can spend the whole evening in enjoying their wine and food. Nice clean spacious room just stairs away from the tasting room.

The team at Pupa Winery is exceptional! We stayed with them for 5 days and boy, were we lucky. A vineyard and winery tour with tasting is included in the price and what a blast! We had so much fun, we stayed on and had a beautiful dinner and made friends. The owners and the team are warm and friendly. Breakfast was traditional Berati with a spread of fresh fruits, vegetables, olives, cheeses and even petula made to order! If I have to complain, the WiFi is weak in the room but it’s so easy to just use mobile data - no issue with connection at all.

Rooms are very comfortable with amazing views of the valley. Food is exceptional. Wine has a great selection… we liked the Serene. Andi is a fantastic server with excellent knowledge and tips! The wine tour and tasting was an additional plus for us- we loved every minute!!

Nice room and nice breakfast. It can be a little bit busy in the afternoon with cars of tourists coming for wine tasting. The WiFi can be a little bit weak at times. Unlike comments from other travellers, they made us pay the wine tasting for 1500 ALL per person, and initially saying it was free during checking. Which then make the price of the room expensive for the area.

As a mixed-race couple looking forward to a relaxing two-night stay, we knew as soon as we arrived that something felt off. While the place looks nice and is clean, we were made to feel unwelcome by certain staff, who treated us very differently compared to the other guests. - we got virtually no sleep the first night because of families running loudly around the main hallway until 3am, which staff did not manage. - an attempt to charge us £125 for a meal that cost £25. - an attempt to charge us for the wine tasting and tour. We confirmed with several other guests staying at the exact same time that this was given to them for free, yet staff singled us out to pay for it. Based on how we were specifically targeted for extra charges and treated differently from everyone else around us, we felt deeply uncomfortable. I would strongly advise avoiding this place

Wir haben die Unterkunft spontan gebucht. Im Preis enthalten war eine kurze Führung durch den Weinberg und den Weinkeller sowie ein Weintasting. Es gab 3 Weine und Raki sowie Kleinigkeiten zu essen. Die Atmosphäre war hervorragend, der Ausblick wunderschön und die Herzlichkeit der Menschen dort erwähnenswert. Die Besitzer sind sehr zuvorkommend und erfreuen sich daran, ihren Wein und Raki zu verköstigen. Auch das Frühstück war besonders lecker. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, modern, sauber und gemütlich. Wir können den Aufenthalt dort wärmstens empfehlen! 5 Sterne!
