Amazingly beautiful Inn / Bed & Breakfast. We loved our room and the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was excellent, some of the best food we’ve had traveling. We loved it so much we booked this Inn for next years Versailles Apple Festival

I enjoyed staying at Hawthorne Inn! The Inn keeper was wonderful. The grounds and home are well kept, the breakfast was awesome. I will stay here again. Hopefully soon!

Melanie has done a wonderful job with this home. It's comfortable and after a long drive the bed was so relaxing. Its in Versailles so no need to go driving and distances for dinners, shopping Close enough to the Lake of the Ozarks without the high costs.

Beautifully decorated 1877 home filled with antiques, and cozy elegance. Balconies and garden patio for enjoying evenings. Walking location convenient to town restaurants and shops. So relaxing we stayed a second night! Breakfast was delicious. A perfect stay! Thanks to Melanie and Versailles, Mo.

Gracious southern home

Charming place on a nice property. Clean and comfortable and Melanie is very nice. My only thing is I was there on business and wish I had had more time to hang out by the firepit or in the parlour with the piano.

Quaint and quiet, this was a really nice place. Our room was beautifully decorated but bathroom was across the hall so that made it a 4 star review for me. The owner was very nice and accommodating and served a really nice breakfast. (Note: some bedrooms here have bath inside the rooms we happened to have one that didn’t)

Location central, clean and tidy in room could do with some brighter lights quite dark in the bedroom. Didn't see the host only for about 30 seconds at breakfast. Breakfast was average.

The decor was well done . The inn keeper was helpful and breakfast was good. I could not lower the blind by my bed, so I felt a little exposed. Nice location. I had luggage in my car I could not lift up the stairs and could not leave in the car. The inn keeper let me leave in the baggage in the first floor so it would be secure at night. Clawfoot tub was fun to shower in the morning.

Nice place needs a few updates

The house is very beautiful. Just needs some up dates like wall paper coming off the celling. There is a shared bathroom but no one else stayed that night so no big deal. Maybe could just rent out the whole up stairs and fix that problem. May get more people to stay if they fell its more of their safe space. We were left coffee and breakfast that was good thank you.They gave us a key but there was sets at the bottom of the stairs at least put them away.

Upon arrival we were pleased with the appearance of this B&B, very quaint. The breakfast was decent. However, after arriving home we noticed bites all over us. I had about 10 bites but my husband had about 30. They’re not spider bites (not the 2 hole puncture you see with spiders). These are from bed bugs. Nothing else could cause these large numerous bites. This was the Cardinal room. I may as well bring up the fact that no soap is provided to shower unless you want to use something left behind by a previous guest or your shampoo.
