The breakfast was poor with the same thing every day, and no hot food except eggs. The staff were nice, but the pool seems to be included until you check in, when they say you need to book timeslots and also pay to use it. We were told our room was ready, but upon entering, it wasn't, and there were cans and rubbish everywhere. I told reception and they apologised; the lady got the cleaners to clean it properly and split the bed into two singles. The building is very old and you can tell, and feel it. The hotel is very far away from Verona or any major restaurants, needing a 25-minute bus ride each way to reach there or the nearest train station. So if you want to reach places such as Lake Garda or Venice, you gotta get the bus to the city, walk to the train station, and catch the train. Taxis are mega expensive to the city, as are Ubers, so your only realistic option is the bus. Luckily, the bus stop is a 2-minute walk away from the hotel, and Google Maps shows you where and when the buses run, although the hotel staff showed us too. Overall, it's not what we were expecting considering the 'VIP ACCESS' label and near-perfect reviews. It was nice, but we won't be returning to this hotel for the reasons mentioned.
