The reservation of the room indicated that there was a refrigerator and a microwave, when in reality there wasn’t any of the two in the room that was assigned to us.

Expedia is terrible - they charge for things you do NOT get - like making changes to your reservation - so I will NOT use them again! Red Roof is largely what you would expect from an inexpensive "pet friendly" place which does not do the best job cleaning. The fit and finish of the room also left a lot to be desired. Maybe it will be better after they renovate - until then, my suggestion is "stay somewhere else."
