I had booked another hotel but had the dates wrong. That hotel was full so I looked and found the royal Hotel. It was clean, the staff was wonderful, and the hotel carpets and bedding was all updated.

If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel to stay or for the night, this is it. Staff our fantastic, rms are clean, great water pressure deep soaking tubs. The rm has an outside exit and a hallway access to the rm, the building is old but rm makes up for it.

Royal Hotel has it all and more and for a lot less $$. Based on our actual experiences of 9 stays over the past 6 months, this complex is deserving of much more than 3 star rating. This review is based on our stay of Oct 22/23, 2 rooms w/1 adult in each, 1 room pet friendly. Check in was quick with a very knowledgeable and personable receptionist. I was traveling with a small dog and was pleasantly surprised with our pet friendly room. We found the only difference being the laminate flooring rather than carpet. All other comforts are available, from plenty of towels to Keurig pods, nothing is lacking. We found the beds and pillows are very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Maggie Mae's is the wonderful onsite dining room serving delicious entrees at very reasonable rates. When making plans with friends from Lloyd to meet up for dinner,. they all agreed to come to us as Maggie Mae is a favorite among locals, That says it all. Added bonus of a nice size quiet grass courtyard in the middle of the motel to use for your pets to relieve themselves without the need to take your dog offsite. I found the area was very well maintained, even had the added security of being well-lit thru out the evening and night. Fully equipped with benches and poop bag disposal containers. Unfortunately some previous guests were rude and disrespectful as they obviously did not clean up after their pets. There is no excuse for that, we cleaned up their mess as best we could.

The evening checkin staff was just amazing. Friendly, professional and patient. The whole facility was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a little grab & go bag that you can have on the road. There was plenty of parking around the building and close to each room. Rooms have external and internal doors for all weather conditions. I would stay here again. Excellent value for money.
