This place was great! The owners are so friendly and accommodating. The location was great. Close to the beach, restaurants and downtown. The bonus of a full kitchen was fantastic!

We stayed in August 2025. The room was reasonable for the price. The full kitchen was great and the room was large. Like a small apartment. Staff was helpful and would stay there again. No issues and was very quiet.

Beds and linens were comfortable and clean but kitchen and bathroom were in really poor shape. We have paid much less for cleaner/newer accommodations in more expensive cities before.

While it may be a somewhat “vintage” style property. The building and grounds are clean and well maintained. The size of the room and kitchen facilities were a pleasant surprise. Although we were only staying one night, the kitchen makes it ideal for a multi day stay. Good quality WiFi and sufficient, conveniently located outlets for charging devices. We found several nice dining options within easy walking distance

Vikings Motel is great!

Checked in and got to the room and couldn’t believe how amazing it was for the price. Everything was clean and tidy and the bed was actually pretty comfortable. The smoke detector had that beep every so often and I alerted the front office and they replaced it with a brand new one. Overall a very good experience.

OMG THIS PLACE WAS SO MUCH NICE THAN I EVER COULDVE EVEN IMAGINED. They are so reasonably priced too its very nice yet extremely sad that most other places rip ppl off big time. I think these people are a blessing for providing a nice safe

The beds were good and comfortable but you were able to hear everything happening outside of the room. It was hard to sleep throught the night with all the noise going on because of how thin the walls are from the surrounding rooms. The people who were also supposed to clean our room didn't.

It's not just a room with a stove and fridge... It's a very comfortable, very open room with a way to feel like I have an actual home/studio to come back to. Somewhere I can make a good meal in a very spacious kitchen... I love the remodel even though it's been remodeled some time, id only gotten to see the Jacuzzi suite hang way complete many years ago. Absolutely worth every dollar!

The room was good and big! Had three beds, which worked well for us. Plus a full kitchen. The room and furniture is a little out dated, but overall it was a comfortable stay. The property is small and parking was tight! Looks like they have long term residence staying there. Looks like they’re working on updating the property. Would stay again.

Cockroaches all over even on the bed!

Stayed 3 nights and found and had to kill 4 cockroaches the most recent was my last morning early morning and it was crawling on the bed!!!! Couldn’t go back to sleep, cleanliness is horrible like piles or dirt and crap in the corners and just the laziness of not cleaning properly and the cockroaches made me sick

I have stayed at just about all the motels and hotels in Ventura County. Somehow I missed this one. I made a last minute reservation checking in around midnight. The young man at the office window was very nice and check in was quick. I had room 27 upstairs and on the corner. The landscaping looked very good. The good sized water fountain looked and sounded great and could hear from my room. The room .. WOW!!! HUGE ROOM!! the place was immaculate. The floors were tiled. The kitchen was big with a very large fridgedaire double door stainless steel ..and super clean . The kitchen had a full sized four burner stove and oven and larger microwave above and a toaster oven. Lots of cabinet spaces pots and pans... Utensils.. nice two seater breakfast table. With tasteful decor throughout. The bed ..the bedroom set ..yes all matching nightstands ..dresser drawer vanity mirror.. ceiling fan with lantern light ..sheer curtains and blackout ones . The bathroom has nicely done tile throughout. And shower is big enough for two! There's also a marble counter with sink and mirror..and ironing board..full sized iron..blow dryer..and there's five different chairs to relax in. Air conditioner /heater .. oh and there's recessed can lights in ceiling throughout ..some on dimmer switches. Good quality towels 👍.. my only gripe ...yeah .. is that the flat screen tv is mounted flat so no pull out or turning ..it's mounted offset from the bed ..and any lights cause a glare and just basic cable.

Carpet worn, torn. Lots of drawers, over half unusable with missing knobs or bottom broken out. Sliding closet door almost unmovable. Almost everything in kitchen needed cleaning: dishes, counters, drawer handles, sticky floor. Quality stove, MW, sink, counters. Basic, damaged fridge, worked well. Stayed three nights, maid came only once.

I love this motel. I work in the area a lot but this is the first time I’ve stayed here. Two weeks and such a comfortable stay. The best part is the full kitchen. I’ve been working on the road and living out of hotels for 3 years straight and it’s such a blessing to be able to cook in a full kitchen. I’ve stayed in many extended stay type hotels but all you normally get is a stovetop. Here I have an oven and can get more creative with my meals! The staff is excellent. Ravi and his family are very helpful and accommodating! Five stars!
