I just love the Clocktower Inn. It’s very basic and old, half the stuff doesn’t work, lol, but the people are great, and the location to Main Street can’t be beat. It’s rustic, charming, not your luxury hotel experience, but I’ve been staying here for years and years and choose it everytime I visit my favorite city in the world.

Cleanliness was very good. The free Breakfast was also very good... enough options and a bonus. Excellent location! Little things...the bathroom mirror frame had some "paint missing" areas ... that's an easy fix, so why not do it! :) Also, most old hotels/motels near the ocean have a lingering musty smell...I wish they could figure out a way to diffuse it or eliminate it! Great place for the price.

The Clocktower was a great place to stay. It is located a block from the mission on the main street - close to shopping, restaurants, and bars. It is an easy walk to the Ventura Pier. The property was very quiet. Our room was clean and roomy with a nice balcony overlooking the spa. The breakfast was served in a beautiful atrium. The food was nicely displayed and delicious, although there wasn't a huge variety. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Ventura.

I needed a hotel room for my daughter's graduation from UCSB. The Clocktower Inn in Ventura was a 30 minute drive from the campus and half the price of hotels located in Santa Barbara. My room was small, but very clean and nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and a nice hot (!) shower. An added plus was my room at the corner of the property so I had windows on both the north and east side of the room (#224). The staff were welcoming and warm, and they served a hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, juices, coffee, etc. I would definitely stay there again.
