This place is definitely a hidden gem. Me and my husband enjoyed the stunning view especially being right on the ocean. This will now be on our list of places to stay and visit every summer. I stayed at this property a few years ago and it was very enjoyable. This time around, the property looks run down, the rooms don’t have AC so it was stuffy. The carpet at the restaurant smells. The continental breakfast had frozen fruit and yogurt. The view is amazing but the property needs some TLC.

Total hidden gem just off the 101 in Ventura. Feels like a time warp in the best way—think ‘60s beach motel meets vintage Hawaii. Super peaceful, no road noise, just ocean waves right outside your window (which you can actually open!). Rooms are clean, vibe is chill, views are unreal. Great dinner spot downstairs and free continental breakfast. Only gripe: no in-room coffee and none available till 7:30am. Still, I’d come back in a heartbeat.

We stood in room #1 deluxe suite and the bed was horrible old squeaky two indentations dips lumps and woke up with a sore back and everytime you turn around the bed crackle I could not stay there for a good night rest

Great location, right next to a beach. The pool was amazing. The only weird thing was we paid extra for a sea facing room but all rooms they had were sea facing. Unfortunately our rooms view was a but blocked at it was in the corner

Oceanside hotel right off 101.

Lovely location with ocean views -- fall asleep to the crash of waves. Easy drive into Ventura for restaurants and ferries. Very helpful front desk staff. Excellent dinner at the in-house restaurant -- enjoyed dining outdoors, watching the ocean. The rooms are simple and could use some updating, but we didn't spend much time in the room.

Stress relieving stay

Our favorite getaway! Hot water in shower an issue AGAIN, (every stay), but overall a beautiful stay. Shoals restaurant was a disappointment. Service was slow and just average. Understaffed. Paper menus, really? Food was good, not excellent. Besides all that, overall a beautiful property. Needs some work, but we will return.

Hot water suddenly became cold many times during showers, parking during restaurant hours was abysmal, and the continental breakfast left a lot to be desired (an inn with its own restaurant should offer more). But being able to leave windows open throughout my entire stay, and falling asleep to the surf every night, made up for these deficiencies. Overall I would recommend staying here, as long as you're okay without certain creature comforts.
