This was a GREAT hotel to stay in! The location, although it's a little far from the main tourist area in Venice (you can definitely walk there, though), was wonderful! Very peaceful and not crowded at all! The breakfast is extremely convenient, too. A couple of things I would have liked to know beforehand: this looks like a convent (not sure if it still is). Nuns provide you with breakfast, and there's a lot of religious paraphernalia. You also have a midnight curfew. You can pay a fee to have someone let you in after hours, if needed. This did not hinder our experience; if anything, it made it more fun, but maybe keep that in mind if you want to party in Venice (not that Venice is a huge party city, to be honest). Overall, great experience!

Ok its a catholic religious hotel witth a curfew (12-6am) but go with it. It suits the city and its a great deal. Get a waterbus pass and enjoy the most stunning city in the world.

The staff is very kind and the place is very peaceful. Their breakfast is a great way to start the day and its early schedule encourages healthy habits that allowed us to enjoy our visit to the fullest. The wooden beds and furniture are old so expect a little bit of squeeky sounds if you move to much. Considering its religious characteristics, they’re welcoming of non-religious guests but ask that their curfew and religious background is respected. Overall an excellent stay.

Perfecto! Clean, quiet, and friendly

What a find! This place only added to the magical ambiance of Venice for us, and was a peaceful, friendly refuge from the hustle and bustle of the streets in the nearby sestieri. A short walk from P. Roma, this quiet, historic, and well-maintained guesthouse was a welcoming retreat at the end of each of our long days of exploring. No frills, unbeatable value, clean, and with a very reasonable breakfast spread for the low-maintenance traveler, I strongly recommend considering Casa Caburlotto for your relaxing value Venice vacation. We already plan to return and stay here again!

I really enjoyed my 2-night stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly. I received detailed directions and map from them the day before my arrival. This was much appreciated as Venice is truly a maze, and easily get lost with so many turns and bridges. I also like the location as it’s only about 10 minutes away from the train station. I like that it’s on the quiet residential side (not directly in the commercial area). The breakfast is also a bonus. The room is simple, clean and comfortable. A very welcoming environment!

Casa Caburlotto'd bathrooms lock from the inside when you shut the sliding doors . In the 2 nights we spent there, it happened to us and to another guest of the hotel. The receptionist did nothing, and the hotel didn't offer a discount, even though we couldn't use our room's bathroom. we were invited to use a common toilet instead, and we were told that there weren't available rooms to change us to. So basically they ruined our holiday in Venice, never apologised and offered no compensation. AVOID CASA CABURLOTTO!

It was ok, but certain things have to be improved. Firstly, the fact that there is a curfew at 12:00 has to be in bold and twice highlighted BEFORE you book it. Especially since it’s non refundable. The hotel itself it’s ok - interesting interior. Staff was very mediocre besides Fran. I asked for an iron to iron my dress since I had to go to a wedding and the guy at the reception categorically refused, even after I offered to iron it under his supervision at the reception area. Then during breakfast, I tried taking a cup of coffee to my room, only to get screamed at by the lady serving the breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to people
