A very pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Beds were comfortable and nice rooms. Food was lovely and service was very good. Outside doesn’t look modern but inside was cosy.

The hotel hosted youth soccer teams that ran the halls all hours of the night. They loudly banged on doors and windows. It was only somewhat quiet between 1am-4am. I complained at the reception. They said they had tried to quiet them down, but I can’t say that I believe them.

Unnecessary check-in control. We stay at around 15 different hotels in Sweden every year as part of our business, including Quality Hotel Royal Corner and Elite Stadshotellet in VĂ€xjö. Scandic is the only one that requires an entire extra A4 page of personal information just because we are from Denmark. We book through Hotels.com because we travel all over Sweden. You already have our details through our paid booking, just like everywhere else. It’s simply not good enough.

The hotel is worn down and needs an updo. The check in staff could not answer our questions regarding local possibilities as she was not local and did not offer to research for us. Even though we stayed for 2 nights, we could not get washing done. They did not come with fresh towels nor to tidy our room, as you have to request this a day in advance. We were not informed of this during check in. The restaurant staff was nice and helpful and the food was good - the breakfast as well. A wide variety. Overall we had a good stay but spent a lot of time away from the hotel and we would not book this again, if we had other options.

TyvÀrr en besvikelse gÀllande det handikappanpassade rummet. Det var alldeles för trÄngt för att kunna röra sig fritt med rullstol, bÄde i rummet och i badrummet. Vi har bott pÄ scandic mÄnga gÄnger nÀr vi Àr ute och reser, men vid ankomst var restaurangen stÀngd, vi var ett rÀtt stort sÀllskap pÄ 20 personer som skulle vidare pÄ hockeycup dagen efter och frÄgade om dom kunde öppna frukosten 15 min tidigare dÄ de va snöovÀder, detta har aldrig varit nÄtt problem innan. Vi gÄr ÀndÄ ner till frukosten tidigare och kollar in Ä vi blir tillsagda att vinintresserade fÄr vara dÀr inne trots frukosten Àr framdukad. Detta va kanske de sÀmsta bemötande av servicepersonal jag varit med om. Sen poolen kan man ju höja 10 grader sÄ de gÄr att bada. detta har gÄtt pÄ dom
