Excellent place, very neat, and comfortable.

I stayed at SadaShiv guest house in May for about a week. The guesthouse is top notch. It is very clean and very well taken care of by the staff. They were always available for help and the quality was 5 stars. The room was very clean and comfortable. Vishal, who was the staff, was the most exceptional member of the staff. He was very helpful at each step and everyday. I appreciate the kindness and the hospitality of everyone here. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Firstly got into my room and looked nothing like pictures. Small barred window and next to no space. I told them and they moved me to a more spacious room to their credit but cleanliness was an issue at both. Covers had what looked like blood on them, ants everywhere and no toilet paper or bidet in either rooms. I also don’t understand why they don’t include air conditioning in room price as they ask an extra 700INR per day, i know it says online but this is first place I’d been to that charged it separately and so much. I’ve stayed many places in India but value for money this has got to be one of the worst. I left my stay early as I was struggling there. But the staff were nice enough and accomadating just the quality of the rooms and mostly cleanliness is the big one for me.

TERRIBLE property to stay in Varanasi !!! Booked for 4 nights at Hotel Sada Shiv in mid-June 2025 for triple occupancy (including my aged parents) to do Darshan of Lord Shiva, visit Prayagraj, Gaya etc. First Red Flag!! Had to wait in the lobby for 45 mins to get the room ready on a sunny and hot afternoon. Second Red Flag !! Many say River Ganges isn't good with much unwanted material thrown into the water, but I would say that the River is 100,000 times cleaner than this "just-now readied" room". Cobweb all over the room, on the A/C wires and Fan inside. The bed sheets seem to have been washed 1 month ago. The child bed on the side is directly under the cobweb of the A/C wire and as soon as the Fan is turned on, the dust particles are all over the room. Bathroom wasn't cleaned and I had to request them to clean it daily. Bedsheets weren't changed unless being asked for. The big-opened trash can is right infront of our room and hasn't been emptied or cleaned in 1-2 weeks. Smells pretty bad in the corridor. Very disgusting!! Food is not so great with any variety (for the choice that we want). As expected, I fell sick on the day 2 and my Father had to make more trips to the Medical shop than to the Temples around Varanasi. The owner provided his own feedback form and I wrote the same. Please don't get fooled by the photos for this property on this website. I humbly request Expedia to review this and suggest to remove this listing from here.
