It was a very nice property in a nice quiet neighborhood, it was close (walking distance to restaurants and stores). It was also near the ferry terminal allowing us to be able to get decent rest before our early morning g ferry to Vancouver island.

My room was huge and the bathroom was also a great size. I had everything I needed including a large TV, kettle and a fan/air con unit. The property is in a very nice area which is quiet and also very safe for solo travellers. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants as well as the river trails.

David was very helpful, polite, and kind. He met us at the location, showed us to our room (late check-in) and explained everything. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean also. The listing indicates bed and breakfast with a continental breakfast. We had great coffee options but the breakfast part was a bit underwhelming. There were apples, oranges, bananas, brown wonder bread in the fridge, yogourt and cereal. There was jam and butter for toast. Not quite like the pictures led us to believe. It was far from the breakfast I was expecting. There was a lovely sunroom off the kitchen but it was filled with trash and recycling. Was a bit strange. We stayed one night and it served the purpose but I wanted to be honest to manage others expectations. David is lovely but the B&B needs some attention.

The room was clean enough. The rest of the house is dusty on the floors and stairs. Innkeepers could put some effort in tidying up the place. The breakfast was fine. I saw comments from prior guest reviews about no proteins for breakfast. I found that they offered small containers of activia and offered peanut butter as an option for a spread on toast. There was fresh fruit. There was cereal and coffee, tea, juice and milk. It was a self serve situation. The owners family member (my only personal contact during the 2 day stay) was sweet and when I complimented the beautiful tomatoes in her garden, she was so kind as to give us a small bag of her delicious home grown tomatoes! The King bed in our room was very comfortable for us, but no top bed sheet. We found a spare in our closet and used that as we prefer just a sheet , no blanket in summer. Jacuzzi tub in the en suite bath does not appear to be useable. Nothing was aweful but not up to our usual accomedation expectation.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at this quiet bed and breakfast. Very lovely place and the service was great. Very clean and convenient as well for the proximity to the airport. Nice neighborhood, felt very safe. Rooms are beautiful and so comfortable for sleep. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

I’m just trying to put into words how beautiful my room was and how comfortable the bed was. I came in late and everyone was sleeping so I didn’t quite get a greeting, but it was still very comfortable and I I felt safe and pampered. I will stay here again if I visit Vancouver in the future.

Host was kind, welcoming, responsive. We were there 12 hours about, just in and out. Needed a soft bed to sleep in and it was perfect for that. No complaints. It isn’t a bed and breakfast like you might think where something is cooking for you in the morning, but that was just fine for our packed schedule!

Quiet neighborhood

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I loved how quiet the area was and that was a big plus. My only criticism was that it was too hot in the room. I turned the heat off at bedtime but it never got any cooler. If we stayed again we would open windows sooner.

Overall: I’m afraid that this is a little overprice given the quality of the property. Good points: The guest room was clean. The services provided by staff were very nice. Negative points: The quality of the overall property is very different from the photos. The entire space of the property outside the guest room smells bad.

Thanks David!

David is an excellent host. He thought of everything to make us feel comfortable. Cereal and other breakfast things were available 24 hours as well as bread and peanut butter to make sandwiches anytime of the day. That helped us a lot. David also called a taxi For our early morning, pick up for the airport. Our king bed had a nice firm mattress and we had a large bathroom. Only about 15 minutes from the airport. Would definitely recommend!
