It’s an old building which has some charm to it but also needs to be better maintained. The doors are hard to open/close and make a lot of noise. The bathroom has no room to put your things while taking a shower or change in privacy. The window is always cracked open and people can look inside the bathroom. Spiderwebs in the ceiling. The room was nice and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the same problem with the window. The restaurant is also an event place and even during the week they have DJs playing until 2am. Even the best earplugs can’t blend out the loud music and bass. Location is excellent.

Was a very solid hostel. Everything was good - my only downsides were the bathrooms were very small and the music from the bar was very loud late at night (on a Saturday). Would definitely keep in mind if you’re a lighter sleeper

The room had a very unpleasant smell, and I could still smell it on my clothes even after 10 days, lol. Other than that, the staff were incredibly helpful. For a short stay, it's not too bad, it might just be that I have a particularly sensitive sense of smell. The surrounding area wasn't the best, although there are several good coffee shops nearby and it's within walking distance of downtown Vancouver. However, as a solo female traveler, I sometimes felt a bit unsafe.

Very conveniently located. Facility is an old hotel with creepy and uneven floors - depending on your POV adds character or just old. I only stayed a couple nights and it was perfect for taking the bus to hike in the mountains.
