Set at the base of the French Alps, Sisteron is already incredibly charming, and Sophie’s cottage made our stay even more special. It was the perfect place to settle in, slow down and enjoy this beautiful part of Provence. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and having a pool to cool off in after a day of exploring was such a treat. Breakfast was truly made for champions , generous, delicious and thoughtfully prepared and served by our wonderful host. We also loved the little touches, especially the coffee and other beverages available in the office. Everything was delicious, and the honour system made it feel relaxed, welcoming and very much like a home away from home. Sophie’s cottage has so much character and warmth. If you’re visiting Sisteron or exploring Provence and the French Alps, it’s a charming place to stay and experience the area at a more relaxed pace. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return.

A little corner of paradise

Lovely and calm boutique hotel in the outskirts of Sisteron. Such a little gem of a place, old houses beautifully redecorated with a stunning patio area and a mountain backdrop. We arrived late in the evening but the owner still arranged for an apéro dînatoire for us. Can highly recommend the hotel.
