Very good place to make a stop on a longer journey. Nice family friendly lobby with lots of boardgames. Big peace of land for kids to play on. The hotel is not new and not luxrius but clean, coasy and familyfriendly. If you are driving electric their is a very affordable tesla charging station on the premisses (open to all brands).

Friendly hotel

Nice hotel, small swimming pool, games for kids, friendly staff and good beds. One of the better hotels we've stayed at on the road.

Great place

We stayed for a night on the way home from Germany. We knew not to judge the hotel from the outside. The reception, restaurant and bar area are really great and it was very child friendly. The room was quiet but artex over the walls and ceiling so it felt like we were sleeping in an iced cake! The lady in reception (Torchwood fan) was amazing. She spoke great English and really helped when I needed her to speak to the kitchen to see if they could do a basic off menu pasta meal for my daughter who has sensory issues. The pool was small and cold but it was 30 degrees at 5pm so very much enjoyed. Breakfast was included and great choice for all of us including soya milk.

Not a Novotel standard move to other brand

The two bed rooms are all placed through the noisy motorway. Impossible to sleep with open window and no air conditioning left room hot. Breakfast of low class and expensive. Toilet not properly cleaned. Someone from management should look into it as it looks to be an old brown water leakage. No elevator to second floor. Lady at reception was extremely friendly and was also running the bar. Needed a beer after the 12 hours drive from Spain.

Crappy food, nice room

Not impressed with the hotel. Prepaid the stay and food, but had to pay for my two daughters. Was told this at check in, where he said it was a buffet. It was not, instead we could choose for 25 euro from the menu, which takes away the idea of prepaying. They brought a board with the menu, where the special main course f the day was pulled pork burger. However before we ordered this was deleted, even though we had reserved table at 19 o clock, when they opened. We instead ordered four steaks medium, but they were all closer to raw, and the French fries had not had enough. Disappointing dinner, with a boring uncooked meal and breakfast buffet also disappointing. The French kitchen is supposed to be the best, but this was poor. The pool was nice, but we and others should just jump in, with no outside showers. So I fear it is not that clean. But very refreshing in the heat. The room was nice but only two rolls of toilet paper, neither of them full so we ran out of tp in the morning. The pillows were bad. So I slept without. Beds were fine. We had hoped for more with the high ratings, especially the food was disappointing.

Un excellent séjour ! Nous avons été vraiment très satisfaits de notre séjour au Novotel Valenciennes. Dès le départ, tout a été parfaitement organisé. On nous avait réservé une très belle chambre au rez-de-chaussée, avec très peu de marche à faire, ce qui était particulièrement agréable pour nous. Pour les bagages, c’était également parfait : un chariot était à notre disposition et nous pouvions l’emmener jusqu’à la voiture pour la décharger. Très pratique quand on voyage avec beaucoup de bagages ! Le dîner au restaurant était délicieux et le personnel très aimable et serviable. La chambre était propre, confortable et nous avons très bien dormi. Le parking juste à côté de l’hôtel était également très pratique. Nous nous sommes vraiment sentis bien accueillis et nous reviendrions sans hésiter. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe ! ❤️

Hotel correcto, facilidad de aparcamiento y personal de recepción muy amable. Sin embargo, las habitaciones, y en concreto los baños, dejan bastante que desear, y el punto débil es el desayuno: aunque intenten ofrecer variedad, la reposición de algunos productos no se lleva a cabo, la máquina de café no funciona siempre correctamente (falta leche) - en general, el personal no está pendiente de mantener disponibilidad de los productos a lo largo del servicio o ir limpiando el desorden que dejan algunos huéspedes, por lo que la experiencia no está a la altura del precio del servicio.

Bien situé pour un séjour professionnel à Valenciennes. Propre, bien entretenu mais mériterait un rafraîchissement et une salle de sport. Il fait très chaud dans les chambres et ma possible de régler le chauffage ou la climatisation (étage 1).
