The Austria House is a beautiful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. It is conveniently located in the heart of Vail Village, close to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back for a return visit.

Booked a room with a balcony and mountain view through Expedia — got neither. When I raised the issue, the staff were rude and dismissive. After my review, they offered a room change on our final day, which felt like too little, too late. The general manager did refund our parking fee since they couldn’t provide the room we paid for, but that small gesture didn’t make up for the overall experience. The rooms are outdated. This is not a boutique hotel — the overall vibe is more tired 3-star hotel than upscale alpine retreat.

The location relative to the base station as well as restaurants is good. The hotel has a bit of a dated feel to it, the elevators are slow and so noisy that we heard them well in our room. The breakfast, at this nightly rate, is definitely not living up to expectations, I’ve had much better breakfast options in places that cost a fraction of the cost of the Austria Haus.

Everything was great but the room was hot and stuffy and ac unit didn’t really work so we had to open the windows for fresh air. We were on the second floor right above a major walk way, bus route and it must have been trash day. We heard people dragging dumpsters and trash trucks. Other than a noisy location and trouble getting fresh air , it was a really pleasant experience
