Great hotel with great food

Surprisingly great hotel in the middle of pretty much nowhere. Big downside: pool access is NOT included even though the hotel has it - it's a separate 295 SEK fee on top of the room rate.

We stayed just one night and ate dinner st the restaurant, which was very nice. The room was a bit tight on space though, and stuffy, we had to leave the window open at night to get air in the room.

Rooms quite small and bathroom quickly steams up as not well-ventilated. Spa not included in room price despite advertising as a spa hotel. However: Friendly check-in. Comfortable beds. Really nice breakfast. Free coffee/tea during day.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Starby Hotel. Our room was clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and the food ( we only ate breakfast there) was very good. The back garden area is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and have breakfast or a cocktail. It is worth noting that the accommodations are much more of a "motel" than a "hotel" and the rooms have the feel of a motel with a bit of paint and polish applied. Quite comfy and clean, but a distinctly different feel than one expects in a "hotel". The location is great and it is an easy and short walk into the downtown and is only minutes to the castle and also has a good grocery store right across the street. Overall a definitely positive experience and would recommend.

Jag bokade ett tvÄbÀddsrum pÄ Hotels.com och ringde hotellet direkt för hundtillÀgg. NÀr jag kommer dit var det en sÀng(tvÄ hopsatta) inget kylskÄp pÄ rummet(fanns i en entré 150 m bort) (svÄrt att öppna fönstret) inget AC utan golvflÀkt. Det rum jag fick var i allt ett trestjÀrnigt rum, inte fyrstjÀrnigt! VÀldigt dyrt för ett trestjÀrnigt rum. Förklarinfg att inget kylskÄp för att det var hundrum och för det betalar jag ÀndÄ mer. Spa betalas extra för. Det bra nu:Vid anmÀrkning var personalen vÀnliga och löste det de kunde och restaurangen och frukost var fantastiskt bra. Fint att vara i det gröna, stor grÀsmatta (park).

Vi upplevde inte hotellet som 4-stjÀrnigt pÄ grund av flertalet detaljer. Rummen Àr i barackliknande lÀngor och golven i dessa byggnader kÀnns som att gÄ pÄ plank dÄ de sviktar nÀr man gÄr. Avsaknad av AC i hela byggnaden inkl rummen skapade ett ganska varmt och fuktigt klimat. Badrummet hade plastmatta och plastiga duschmunstycke. Totalt skapade det en kÀnsla av ett boende i en tillfÀllig barack och inte alls prisvÀrt.

Fina rum, sköna sÀngar. Bra hygienprodukter och rent överallt. Trevlig personal. Roligt sÀllskapsrum med biljard och spel. TrÄkig utsikt mot vÀg och bilmack. DÀr hade man gÀrna kunnat skapa en trevligare atmosfÀr med mer grönska. TrÄkigt med en robotgrÀsklippare som renrakade alla grÀsmattor.
