Great hotel with great food

Surprisingly great hotel in the middle of pretty much nowhere. Big downside: pool access is NOT included even though the hotel has it - it's a separate 295 SEK fee on top of the room rate.

We stayed just one night and ate dinner st the restaurant, which was very nice. The room was a bit tight on space though, and stuffy, we had to leave the window open at night to get air in the room.

Rooms quite small and bathroom quickly steams up as not well-ventilated. Spa not included in room price despite advertising as a spa hotel. However: Friendly check-in. Comfortable beds. Really nice breakfast. Free coffee/tea during day.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Starby Hotel. Our room was clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and the food ( we only ate breakfast there) was very good. The back garden area is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and have breakfast or a cocktail. It is worth noting that the accommodations are much more of a "motel" than a "hotel" and the rooms have the feel of a motel with a bit of paint and polish applied. Quite comfy and clean, but a distinctly different feel than one expects in a "hotel". The location is great and it is an easy and short walk into the downtown and is only minutes to the castle and also has a good grocery store right across the street. Overall a definitely positive experience and would recommend.

Fina rum, sköna sängar. Bra hygienprodukter och rent överallt. Trevlig personal. Roligt sällskapsrum med biljard och spel. Tråkig utsikt mot väg och bilmack. Där hade man gärna kunnat skapa en trevligare atmosfär med mer grönska. Tråkigt med en robotgräsklippare som renrakade alla gräsmattor. Skapa gärna lite ängar som är vackra att titta på och lockar fjärilar och surr. Hade gett en ännu mer gemytlig stämning.

Ett hotell i mängden

Har bott på detta hotell tidigare och uppskattat det väldigt mycket. Nu är det en annan atmosfär, Saknar känslan av det personliga familjehotellet. Det som hade det där lite extra. Nu är känslan ett opersonligt hotell med stressad personal. SPA delen verkar väldigt viktig och hotellgästerna kommer lite i andra hand. Det känns som att bo på ett industrihotell.
