The Rosemont Inn is a beautifully restored mansion that is both elegant and comfortable! The breakfast was wonderful in their beautiful dining room and they have so many extra touches, bathrobes, snacks, coffee bar, soft drinks available all the time. Our room was very spacious with a nice sitting area and a great bathroom. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in town!

The area around it seemed a little sketchy when were pulling in but would highly recommend staying here. Don’t let the surrounding area scare you. It was my 1st experience with a bed and breakfast. The owner/staff was great. Always helpful. Breakfast was delicious each morning. It was all homemade. Shower was AMAZING! Great pressure and extra overhead rainfall shower too. We found out from other guests it was her childhood home. We truly enjoyed our stay. Would stay again.

Absolutely darling BnB - beautiful & peaceful! The bed linens and pillows are so so soft and lush. Surprising high end details in the bath with rain heads and great water pressure. Oh and pet friendly… Loved it!

Rosemont B&B is just delightful. Rita is warm and welcoming, the room was spacious and beautifully furnished, the bathroom luxurious, and the breakfast delicious. We’ve already booked a return visit!

Venus was awesome, as she arranged drivers for us to Cooperstown and Edmeston New York, where Public transportation and/or Uber/Lift drivers were very limited. She was also very helpful with dining options, things to do and the breakfasts were excellent. Housekeeping staff was very friendly and enjoyable to talk with!!! Highly recommended, if we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back

The staff and breakfast were excellent. For areas of improvement, the road sign needs a light to illuminate it at night and the plants around it need to be trimmed to improve visibility. The landscaping on the grounds and on the porch need upkeep and improvement. It would be helpful to add a write up or plaque about the history of the home as you enter.

Stepping back in time.

Like stepping back in time with modern conveniences this B&B didn’t disappoint. The owners make you fell right at home. From sitting in the parlor surrounded by antiques, rocking on the porch in the cool night air to the delicious to the healthy and generous individually prepared breakfasts and a fantastic selection of teas, they do everything to make you feel like your home.

Property is extremely run down on outside, surrounded by unkempt weeds, bare dirt and overgrown plants. It is in a run down area of the city which isn’t conducive for safe nighttime strolling. Inside is better in terms of room decorative furnishings, though still run down-windows frames are cracked and splintered from age, etc. Clearly efforts have been made to update a very run down house into a more upscale b&b, but needs a lot more work in terms of the actual structure and the appearance on outside.The odor from cleaning solution and intense lavender in the room was overpowering and caused a breathing problem for me; i didn’t want to try to sleep under those circumstances, and my husband agreed that we shouldn’t stay. He noticed that the fire alarm system appeared to be inoperable (it’s his area of expertise) and didn’t like that. Also, though it did not say on the Expedia reservation, I was told that because I used them to book, we would have to pay for our breakfast, they don’t include it in the price. Disappointing experience all around and of course non refundable, so an expensive lesson.

Awful neighborhood

The owner's were very nice and made a wonderful homemade breakfast. They were hard to connect with and did little to cultivate a relationship. In my opinion, they need to cultivate relationships to make this experience is worth it. The property is in a very slummy part of the city. I was concerned about my vehicle outside. The room was very nice and comfortable. The window was undersized for the room and had a hard time keeping up and it was not very hot these days. The bathroom was very large but had an undersized toilet and a small antique tub that was nice, but impossible to take a shower in due to the wrap around curtain. Won't be a problem if you are a small person. A window was propped open with a piece of lumber and the window frame appeared rotten. This made the bathroom a little damp and allowed some street noise in. The TV operation was a little difficult to understand with extremely basic cable with very few choices. The house was very quiet and we were not disturbed at all with other quest noise. The place was full with some families yet still it was very quiet and could not even tell anyone else was there. This is a BIG plus compared to some B&B's. I feel it was a bit overpriced but it was a huge event weekend which may have raised the rates. If I were staying in Utica again, I would not shy away from this B&B but I would look and consider other properties including nicer hotels just to make sure there were not other options.

We loved every minute of our stay at the Rosemont. The owners are exceptionally nice and the breakfast the next morning was heavenly! We will definitely book there again if we are in the area. We highly recommend a stay at this exceptional Inn.
