Our room was Spacious and the microwave was included in the kitchenette. Laundry area was clean and there was plenty of room even with two washers and four dryers. This made wash and drying faster. There was construction on the street so I didn’t like that and no street lights so it was a bit difficult to find.

When I first walked into the lobby I was impressed with the decor and cleanliness. We were greeted by the front desk clerk Laura, who was friendly and accommodating. Check in went smoothly and soon after, we headed for the pool. It was clean, private and had plenty of lounges to sit on. Breakfast and dining area was very nice, and the attendant Rachel was refilling items so we never ran out of anything! All in all I'm glad I chose this for our stay and feel comfortable recommending the Red Roof Inn, Herkimer location.

We were very pleased with this Red Roof lodge. The main lobby was very clean and cheerful. At check in they were very friendly and accommodating. We were not sure what condition the place would be in as you see pictures on line but things could be different when you arrive. This one was not different. So we booked another night stay. During the next day I was amazed at the amount of staff they had working to keep the place clean They did also have a nice area to eat breakfast with plenty to choose from. Also very easy to get to different places in town. They had a sheet with suggestions for local restaurants. Small town but very friendly.

The bathrooms had mold in the corners and at the ceiling tiles around could use a good cleaning as well as the green stains in the tub from the dripping water. There was a moldy odor in one room and the other needed to be dusted. Behind the mattress at the framed headboard on the wall. The staff was very nice and for a one night stay it wasn’t terrible but not exactly as expected. The check in area and breakfast area we clean and had no odors.

Don’t let the outside fool you. Our room along with the lobby looked newly renovated and was very nice. Only complaints would be there was an odor in our bathroom that was a bit unpleasant and if you dislike a train going by (which I didn’t notice while I was sleeping) you may have an issue. Otherwise it was very nice. A great deal for the price!
