Vacations Close To Ushers Ferry Historic Village

Older property in need of renovation. My room smelled slightly of mildew. The "suite " I got was very poorly laid out. The furniture was cheap, and the TV was positioned between the bed and a couch area that was partially walled off to give the appearance of it being separate. The breakfast area is a traffic bottleneck as most of the items are in a U-shaped corner.

Crappy service and refused to do anything to help me when I needed to cancel due to weather. 10/10 do not recommend!

Room was regular Tub could have been cleaned better. Toilet seat time to be replaced.

We have stayed 3 times over the years this will be our last. Stayed 3 nights. Had to let them know Saturday morning and Monday morning there was no coffee. Monday morning breakfast there was hardly any eggs or bacon, the water had not been filled it was obvious it was from the night before no ice. Very disappointing to spend 555.00 for 3 nights. Our shower Saturday morning the handle was not right we had to really work it to get any hot water, we told the front desk when we went out for the day and indeed it was fixed when we came back and it was in the complete opposite direction and worked great but took about 5-10 minutes to get warm water. This concerns me that if the shower had been cleaned after the last guest the cleaning team should have noticed this and reported this, so either it wasn’t cleaned or they just cleaned it with cold water. Ugh! Last time here for us, too bad as we had always preferred this location, it’s always in the management!

It was the most amazing stay I’ve had in years! Very clean, very kind staff, comfortable beds, great views, excellent spa/pool area, would stay there every time I go to Iowa City. Thank you!
