Between the great front desk employees, the awesome bartender and wonderful restaurant staff, absolutely 10 outta 10. My babies birthday party was perfect and I couldn’t be happier with our stay. Thank you The room was fun, love how they did the restaurant, the entire place was beautifully decorated.

My daughter and I enjoyed having a very modern beautiful room that was super clean. We particularly loved the bathroom with its beautiful shower space and large mirror in the bathroom and a full length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. It made it quite easy to get ready at the same time. It was a lovely quiet stay in wonderful historic hotel close to so many conveniences, especially U of I which we were visiting.

A delightful stay! The property is immaculate and the renovations on this historical hotel are great. The service was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The room and bed were very comfortable. I travel often for work and this hotel is undoubtedly one of the nicest I've stayed in this year.

The neighborhood around the hotel is lovely. The hotel itself is a little awkward. The entry and registration desks are quite a ways from the rooms. There is a bar and restaurant. The bar is lovely. The restaurant space is in a closed off space and not comfortable. The rooms are overpriced and not as nice as other lower end chain hotels. With the exception of the location, there are much better options.

Hotel had no record of my reservation. I gave them the Expedia confirmation number but it didn’t match anything in their system. Then I found the hotel confirmation number in an Expedia email. That confirmation matched another guest with same first name different last name who had already checked in. In the end they had to create a new reservation for me and got me a room. Hotel employee Conner was excellent!!! The booking confusion was not!!

Beautiful historic building with a Hilton Tapestry Touch. Very clean, beautiful loby , bar and restaurant. Super comfortable bed , great rain shower and clean bath products. Nice touch on the Nespresso machine with Lavaza coffee. Great area , live music around the corner and great dining options. Safe to walk around. Wonderful stay. Will come back again.

I’ve never stayed in a hotel quite like this one. Luxury, attention to detail, fantastic staff and wonderful rooms. There was an issue thru the booking site that messed up our room but the hotel staff fixed it immediately. 10/10 would stay again! Loved it. The area had a lot to offer as well. Easy to navigate.

The parking was easy, we were going to a wedding & able to check in early. The room was clean, bed reasonably comfortable. There were only 3 pillows on a queen bed. The major complaint is a light bar above the open concept closet that was motion activated & across from the bed. If we moved or got up to use the restroom, it came on like a spotlight throughout the night. There was no on/off switch, it just automatically went off after a certain amount of time. It is very poor placement and disruptive to sleep. I have no idea why a light even needs to be right there, but if there is one, it should have a switch.

The hotel staff were superb! However, the Writers Room (restaurant) staff were horrible. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant were excellent, but they were having a bad night (long waits for service, food was late, cold, sent back, and still not right). Also, Lloyd’s (bar) were training new bartenders every night we were there, and the drinks were occasionally good but mostly horrible. We would definitely go back because we hope their training (bar and restaurant) get better. There are good bars and restaurants in this beautiful, walkable neighborhood. Again, the hotel front desk folks were superb!
