This is the 3rd time I stay at Hotel Royer! The hotel is really nice and the staff is absolutely amazing. From the front desk to the restaurant and the kitchen staff, the service is absolutely incredible. The location is great it is at walking distance from everything. The room was comfortable with a view. I could see the sunrise in the morning and the moonlight when I was sleeping. I really appreciated that the kitchen gave me ice packs to keep cold some local produce that I wanted to bring back home. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious and everything is made from scratch in the kitchen, there are no shortcuts. The front desk are always smiling and willing to help. I was able to check in early and they granted me a free extra hour for late checkout. I highly recommend this hotel. I will stay there again next year.!

It was wonderful! The coffee was excellent, with lovely public spaces to sit and enjoy it. Just 2 notes, for such a nice hotel (Tapestry Collection), we think you should offer premium toilet paper and larger tissue boxes more in keeping with the quality of the hotel. Also, I would offer a selection of pillows, some firm, some feathers, and include a light blanket for every bed. The duvets are very heavy.

Excellent hotel with pretty cool and understated hidden historical pieces. Very easy access to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (leave the parking lot by driving straight across a road, drive 3 minutes, and you’re there). Breakfast at the hotel was unappealing but there is a great breakfast spot — Lazy Daisy — around the corner (truly a 2-3 minute walk around a corner). Elevator on our portion of the building (by the pool) was slow and not a fit with the rest of the hotel (2 beautiful elevators on the other side of the hotel.) it’s an upscale hotel but when we stayed there the price was more affordable than other hotels.
