As a gold member you may have a free upgrade. No offer from the hotel that was half empty over the weekend. Very small room and even smaller shower.

Recommended Hotel in Uppsala

Overall, this is wonderful hotel. Friendly and kind reception; Wide variety of breakfast. But room cleaning was not enough. I stayed several nights, and night by night the cleaning became worse. Shower space is not too bad, but there is not enough difference in level, after the shower it is always wetty on the bathroom. Washball is too short that I could not wash my face without wetting the bathroom floor.

Housekeeping needs improvement

Reception was good, breakfast was good. The only thing that need improvement is the housekeeping, asked for bedroom slippers, waited for hours and needed to go down to the reception again to remind. Didn’t do the room cleaning in our previous stay about one week ago.

It is a good hotel in an excellent location. Staff is friendly and polite. My only issue is how very dark the rooms are. The few lights in the room are very dim. No doubt an energy saving effort, but still, anyone over 50 would have a hard time reading a book by the lights over the bed.

Great location, awesome staff but...

We really liked the central location of this hotel, as it is very close to the charming area of Uppsala, next to a shopping mall with even a grocery store, near many restaurants and cafes, and across the street from a movie theater. It's really ideal if you plan to walk everywhere and you can even rent the hotel's bikes for 100 SEK per day (like $10-15 per day). However, if you plan to use a car, the hotel's parking is outrageously expensive with no in/out privileges. While it is close to the bus, if you are multiple people, it may be more cost effective to Uber it to destinations. Also, Foodora is available for food deliveries if you have Apple Pay to pay for delivery. The best part was the excellent service with friendly staff, huge breakfast buffet with both English/American (eggs and sausages) and the Nordic style breakfast (with fresh bread, cheese and deli meats). They even have smoothies and fresh fruit. We did not get a chance to try the spa. The only things left to be desired are the dark and dreary decor (the walls are literally dark gray) and the bathroom floor and shower tiles didn't look very clean. I really think they could have done better with a refresh of room decor and bathrooms.

Suverän frukost och fantastisk personal

Absolut bästa hotellfrukosten i Uppsala. Eftersom jag bott på många hotell, även de mest kända och välrenommerade femstjärniga hotellen i Sverige, kan jag lugnt säga att frukosten här kan mäta sig med de bästa i Sverige, både gällande kvalitet och utbud. Dessutom är alla i personalen genuint genomtrevliga och hjälpsamma. Den här gången valde vi ett mindre rum som ändå var helt funktionellt men saknade minibar, (Vårt val, inget jag klagar över.) men en flarra vin och lite snacks fanns ändå. Mycket prisvärt alternativ för familjer. Om jag ska försöka hitta något att klaga över var golvet ojämnt, trodde att det var värmen som gjorde mig vinglig, men tack och lov var det bara golvet som var lite slitet. Dessutom låter rumsdörrarna lite väl mycket när de stängs igen, vilket är något hotellet borde kunna åtgärda. Allt som allt hittar jag ändå färre saker att irritera mig över än på de flesta hotell där jag bott. Hotellet har för övrigt suveränt läge om du funderar på att besöka Uppsala som turist. En solklar femma för ett mycket trevligt och prisvärt hotell.
